I wonder if any political parties will
object against entertainment shows and cheerleaders in T20
matches played in India
I guess IPL is going to have a lot of this stuff(cheerleaders and over glamour in their matches)

This entire process is a shame. Ordinary performers are paid with mountains. These deals should be taxed @ 100%. As Amounts paid by these industrialists & film stars is sucked from man hours , labour of common man.

Seems this IPL is throwing up too much money. High exuberance means stock market type crash. How will they earn so much? Shahrukh bhai ka ghar nilaam na ho jaae, Preity has Ness Wadia, she can manage.

Well, let's hope that the market does not take away the essence of sports from a sport which was once known as the Gentleman's Game.

Good one, some matches in EPL cost you 10 pounds on BskyB TV. Will we pay 1000 rs to Doordakhan for these 20-20 fraud matches?

by Sumit Bajaj on Feb 20, 2008 03:50 PM  | Hide replies

I think money overhiding all the things like sportsman ship, to play for country etc. And also this is a insult of all other games.
Ok, we agree that today is the time of corporates and commercialization, but is this mean people should aucted the shportsman spirit.
Hota hoga yaar aur countries me yaar, This is India man.

this all money is going down the drain and the common tax payer in india will be paying this up, the tv channel which will take the broadcasting rights will increase its monthly suscription ulimatley the viewer has to bear the cost, and not their so-called sponserer's.

No one is giving them the money to host it. They themselves are generating the income. So they are able to spend so much on players. Now onus is on other sports bodies to take up the challenge and do something special. Then only money will follow other sports.
