i hate cricketers including sachin. they dont have sympathy to their own citizen & alweays busy in making money. Now BCCI will organise a match or lable the current test series against england as tribute, my foot.

first of all he will be selected becoz he was the 2'nd highest run-getter in the recent australia test series. And the two test matches are at chennai and mohali and historically they've been happy hunting grounds for sachin so you can expect atleast a 100 in anyone of the tests.

dude just becoz gauti and sehwag gave some 4 or 5 100 partnerships you are forgetting some 30-40 100 partnership involving sachin. Sachin is the gr8test ever opening batsmen in odi history and if anyone deserves to open the batting it's him. Just becoz you have a new born baby at your home does'nt mean you forget his father. And how many batsmen in world cricket can make a 50 walking on thin ice? Sachin even at 60% of his abilities is a world beater and that is why he is regarded as the grtest odi batsmen ever.

He was never a great "team" batsmen, he just looked to accumulate his personal-records, and that looked great to some of your eyes! Sehwag and Gambhir play for team, that's evident from their attitude. Even Ganguly initially thought that Cricket is a personal-game after observing Sachin. But later (when he became Captain) he understood the need to show concern towards team and built a team. Even Dravid learned that after keeping wickets in ODI. Now its important that our current-youngsters do not follow the dirty-habit of piling personal milestones.

English Tour of india
by satya krishna on Dec 02, 2008 12:46 PM  | Hide replies

It seems BCCI is desperate as always to make money. They do not care safety of players and least bothered about spectators. When secured zones like star hotels do not have any security how a cricket stadium can have security with so many thousand people around. They seem to be providing easy targets for terrorists.

This tour must happen. Because if Eng refuse to play in India, other teams also follow this step. I gives wrong message to other countries.
Success of this tour will decide the steps of other nations.

Kerala government shown disrespect to the Kerala-born soldier, who lost his life while combating terrorists in Mumbai, by not sending any minister to his funeral,

The dead commando's father did not tolerate the CM's presence and shouted at him to leave at once.

IT is posted by so-called national english daily Times of India."

Give respect take respect.

But do you think that is good for a fatber of a great Indian to behave like that to a Head of a State Government?

When was our parliament attacked? Was it not during NDA period?
A war against Terror by a powerful America left them bankrupt and not successful till date, then what will be India's situation if we attack Pakistan?

In Congress time India faced more than 500 attacks. In BJP time there was no internatinal support for India. It comes after WTC attacked by terrorists and Bomb blasts in UK.

But Anurag the answer should be for Do India is financially stable to think of an attack against Pak?
For an attack against a country not necessarily means to an attack against a local goonda whom can be easily removed without much loss

Pakistan is not economically strong this time. He can't survive for long. Secondly this time we can get financial support also from USA. America is more eager to attack on Pak rather than India. India should take advantage.

Chennai is the best City as of Now to start the series but the weather???
by Senthil on Dec 02, 2008 10:26 AM  | Hide replies

Chennai, was offered as an alternate host for the first Test because it is seen as a city with the least threat perception from a security point of view, which will help ease the immediate fears expressed by some of the England players on touring India. But what about weather? Nobody cares about weather. It's flooded now due to the recent cyclone. I don't think there is a playing day in Chennai. Start with Kochin and Finish with Chennai if England play fearless and start immediately after finish the series for Xmas. Sorry for Other than south India as of now. These two cities never attacked by Terrorist's as of now and looks better than Mohali.
