by ram on Apr 07, 2008 12:43 PM

I watched d matches, and yes there were some pretty close ones...mind u, d standard of cricket is also very gud !!!

Unlike d first edition, this time around there was gr8 spectator enthusiam - couldnt believe that d stadium y'day was jam packed for d event.

Three cheers for ICL - when it started no one thought dat it would succeed but d organisers managed to pull it off...kudos !!!

Pakis behaviour
by Mash on Apr 07, 2008 12:21 PM  | Hide replies

Have u guys observed the behaviour of Badshah's after they lost in bowl out? Captin Inzy along with his whole twam left the ground in anger without shaking hands with heroes, though they did that afterwards when they realized that they might be asking for trouble by doing this. In the whole tournament Badshah's behaviour was objectionable like Inzy doubted umpire's decision & refused to get back in pavilion or Rana Naved jumping like monkey after taking wicket which reminds Javed Miandad. Now ICL have to take these things in account otherwise all teams will start behaving in such a pathatic manner as Badshah's did.

Hats off to ICL for giving plateform to Indian players, now Indians will know how many talented players we are having and wasting there carrers just because of bullshitt politics. The day will come when BCCI will select players from ICL.

Here ends the great circus performed by international oldies, thrownout indian players, d-grade state ranji players. Keep it up ICL ...You will go long way...S. chandra will be happy by making petty money with his great players. By playing 20-20 and few 50 a side match S. Chandra will definitely make a huge contribution in the betterment of indian cricket...all the best ICL... ICL Zindabaad

IPL too has oldies and retires players like Warne and McGrath. Moreover, all the Australian players are not playing all the IPL matches. Atleast IPL players are dedicated to their teams.

by Harish on Apr 07, 2008 10:37 AM  | Hide replies

Ambatti Rayudu was aa successful captain of the Under19 team ....He just did one mistake of taking a "panga" with Arjun Yadav and his cricketing career was terminated....
Arjun Yadav who surprisingly is one very below average cricketer who is now gonna star in the IPL hyderabad team.......but why is he being given this much importance inspite of being a ordinaryy cricketer......
Ans: He is the son of Shivlal Yadav....and u c in India u dont need to play well to be in the limelight u just need to be "somebody's" son and dats it......
Dumba$$ people like arjun yadav need to be slippered along with his father shivlal and ppl with no contacts like rayudu need to be given a chance....but donno when that will happen

This was the great game of cricket and shows Any one can play cricket in india without the support of BCCI also .
It was great to see some young india stars playing with some great experienced players and put a great show ,
Congrates to ICL and Lesson for BCCI that only World popular players can not play great matches

Lahore Badshahs are the best team in the tournament by far. Yesterdays match was fixed & I bet Lahore Badshahs made huge money out of it. You can see Rana Naved's last over. He bowled 2 no balls & a wide & when he wished he could whack out the stumps bowling unplayable deliveries. I wont be surprised if WWE owner Mcmahon buys ICL very soon if once he sees the interest of Indians in Cricket. Watch out guys!! & I am not a Sharad Pawar or BCCI chamcha... Mr Chandra (ICL owners) makes profit from Playwin & Lotto rather than Zee Tv or ICL or Esselworld

it was the last over and tense situation. Any one can bowl wide or no ball. Rana Naved took 3 wickets in that over and a run out. If the match was fixed then why did rana naved took those 3 wickets and took the match to bowl out. Before his over it looked to be a one sided affair in the favour of hyderabad heroes.

Pavan, let's get the facts straight - the objective of ANY business is to make money, be it a software business like Infosys, or ventures like the ICL or IPL. ICL is to make money, let's face it. IPL is also to make money and to be honest, it was a 'knee-jerk' reaction from the pathetic and hopeless BCCI to the ICL becoz BCCI knew they would lose importance in Indian cricket. They have no business to bar players who have joined ICL from playing domestic cricket and making themselves available for national selection. It is not fair and the ICC and all other cricket boards are colluding to bar players who join ICL from playing international cricket. A lot of legal battles are ahead, guys, and I hope BCCI loses badly!!!

ICL has been created by ZEE to make money and the money goes to pocket og zee whereas BBCI puts the money earned back to Cricket.By the way who is interested to watch retired cricketers ,these players are left overs who cannot play for their contries.Kapil edv lost lot of repect by supporting ICL.T20 is not real cricket and so called talent of India which is playing in ICL are not good enough to play for India.ICL will die a prematurely once IPL starts.ICL will ruin the talented players.Dont watch ICL

lol...another day dreamer...what are you thinking of dude...??..puts the money back into cricket..haha...by the way..do you know the "BCCI is the richest sporting body across all forms of sport in the world...and what do they pay their players...??"..peanuts...a footballer from English Premier League( yeah yeah you thought BCCI was smart enough to call the T20 thing IPL...the names obviously lifted ofcourse)..so a footballer like Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United got signed on for a contract worth £1,20,000-a-week for 5 years...he is a great footballer..but definitely not the best...can you even compare his pay with say...any players in the Indian Cricket team..??....by the way £1,20,000 a week is around 96 lakhs..almost a crore a week...

so unless you know what you are talking about..dont even start a conversation...unless you want to make a fool out of yourself

ARE YOU AWARE THAT FACILITIES PROVIDED BY ICL ARE TEN TIMES BETTER THAN THOSE FOR DOMESTIC CRICKET AND DOMESTIC PLAYERS THEMSELVES ARE SAYING THAT THEY WOULD NEVER GET THESE FACILITIES IN THE NEXT TEN YEARS ALSO!!! So much for BCCI putting money back into cricket! It is a joke, this pathetic cricket board of ours! And u say 20-20 is not real cricket, then don't watch IPL also, no one is putting a gun to your head!

Real spirit... from a cricket lover
by pavan kumar pamarthi on Apr 07, 2008 10:03 AM  | Hide replies

I really like the idea of ICL for the promotion of cricket and encouraging young unrecognised players in getting stardom and at the same time some money. They are actually sweating out to make cricket and ICL win. Kudos to the idea of ICL and i wish all the success to it. If anybody who really claims that they love cricket they can support ICL than IPL (where they are actually aiming for money than supporting cricket).

Dear nishant i appreciate your feelings, but try to take the game in right spirit. You can think that as a fixing if it is so, you should have thought the same about our win against Pak in finals in the twenty20 world cup. But, i don't feel its the same happened what you are actually thinking. Please put positive energy in to ICL as it is already affected by so many negative things. Regards.
