Indian spinners need minefields like the one BCCI offered to them during Aus tour of India in 2003-04

Indian spinners struglled in Sydney. Australia scored nearly 400 and declared in their second innings
Australia went past India's score in Adelaide while playing second. Here too where it was helping turn, Indian spinners did not succeed.
Harbhajan and Kumble succeeded on one issue. They successfully diverted the Indian media and people's attention to two wrong decisions, Australia'a complaint againt harabhajan and whipped up negative passions to insane proportions and conveniently hid behind the chaos.

Warne, Murali can spin ball on any track.
Our useless spinners require under prepared turning tracks for that. Why Bhajji is crying? Let him start a Bhajiya shop and make "Bhajji's".

Chennai was a flat pithc, this is a fast pich.

What do you want Bhajji? Get on with your work or get out of the team.

Take wickets get opposite side batter out not the groundsmen and curator.

Grow up you little brat.

Pace friendly wicket? Bhajji earlier said it was not the pitch, but the batsmen. The guy is looking for excuses.

1. He himself (a spinner) took three wickets on Day 1
2. Pathan & RP Singh failed to take any wickets.
3. Sreesanth (usually a swing bowler) didn't seem to be moving the ball as much. It was his limited overs version line and length that he was using to unsettle the batsmen, which got him only that one lone wicket.

And even if you guys were so sure its a "very pace friendly" wicket so much so that you curse the curator instead of yer own performances, then why on earth did the skipper bat first.

Dimaagh kya chutti pe tha? All the triple ton applause that were yet to be fully appreciated by everyone around the world is gonna fizz out thanks to the super-embarrassing performance, and then you have the guts to curse the curator instead.

Sheesh, man!

Ranjith

The last time they played in Chennai he complained of a flat pitch and offering no assistance to bowlers. Now, he complains the other way round. What is he doing only finding excuses of their incompetence.

bhajji Stop Complaining!!!
by Namith J Shetty on Apr 04, 2008 08:17 AM  | Hide replies

Bhajji stop giving excuses and rather concentrate on your game and performance. What i dont get is, these guys are so good at talking, why doesnt the same reflect in their game. Also stop interviewing the players for coverage and just speak to the captain , as he is one who is supposed to represent the team.

Yeah... He should have taken SOME wickets at least, instead of having 3 run-outs in the African team.

Your advice is well appreciated.

What did sreesanth, pathan & R P singh do on a pace friendly wicket?
by kuldip nair on Apr 04, 2008 08:05 AM  | Hide replies

If the pitch was pace friendly, then it dint look like when Sreesanth, Pathan & R P Singh were bowling where as when SA were bowling, Kallis might be cursing his bad luck that he dint get a chance to take some wickets.

Mr. Nair.
Your question is valid. But Bhajji is not a pace bowler, yet he took 3 wickets.
Any answer for his grievance of not having a spin friendly wicket?
Why Indian pacers didn't do well is not answering his simple question - why didn't we have a spin friendly wicket?

Pich condition

When the curator of the chennai pitch prepared the pitch, everybody cursed him like anything for the pitch not helping bowlers resulting rains of runs and a match drawn. Are you people want any result in the test matches ? AHD pitch is like that.In future also please prepare pitches like this in all the Indian Stadiums because, when we want, we score centuries, but when we want wickets, we are not getting, Because, we are not trained on this type of pitches which equals australian and england pitches. First our people must get experience and practice in this type of pitch. So that they can equal all other International players playing any type of pitches

nachana aye to angan tedha ji. bhajji you are fool and useless also use hands not mouths. avalanche of india is repeated even in west indies when we had to score 135 runs to win and we got out 110 in australia we had to score 350 runs at sydney we got out 210 due to negative attitude of indian paper tigers like viru, mahi, laxman. there is second inning t play and i beg viru to play for his country not money or i request sharad pawar to set vigillance commitee of CBI to FIND REASONS for poor show as i smell money matter or negligence of duty of match fixing if i am not wrong be alert ?

Mr. Pravin Sarode.
Admirable though your thoughts are, they are completely misdirected.
What has Bhajji to do with not scoring 135 or 350? He is a bowler.
But reading your emotion charged words - I can clearly see how upset you are at the moment with your favorite team being humiliated this way.

So upset that you are making incoherent blabblerings against a very sensible comment from a good spinner. What is "bhajji you are fool and useless also use hands not mouths. avalanche of india is repeated...." etc. etc. etc.??
Bhajji took 3 fine wickets on a pitch which is a greentop swinging pace-friendly one. By rights it should have been Sreesanth taking 3; RP taking 2-3; Pathan taking 3-4. Whereas we have a complete washout from our pacers.

And of all the people, you pick out the ONLY one Indian player who has done SOMETHING in this match so far.

No wonder the Indian cricket team is where it is.

its very much ridiculous that karthick had been dropped and its paying in ahamedabad
sehwag might have scored 319 but do you think chennai pitch was an sporting pitch.
karthick is the best among sehwag jaffer yuvraj dhoni in palying the moving ball and in pacy pitches

Yes karthik could play instead of jaffer, who has a flawed technique for an opening batsman. And karthik is certainly a better fielder than jaffer.

What happened to Kaif? They should rather have played kaif whos in good form at the moment.

If they had to select pathan then atleast they could have chosen to bowl first to make use of the early conditions.

No point in blaming the curator for this debacle. Sometimes you have to be intelligent & flexible in decision making as a captain.

Kaif is no good either against moving ball, he is prone to LBW or bowled against moving ball. They should have played Karthik because he played reasonably well in England against moving balls. Jaffer is totally unreliable, he plays only on low and slow pitches and that too once in 5-6 innings. It is time to drop him permanently and get someone who can play on all surfaces.

absolutely corect. karthik cud b a better choice not only against jaffer but also against media favourite dhoni. in fact, chopra, parthiv r much better openers than jaffer.
