Pitch Preparation
by Maheswari on Apr 03, 2008 09:25 PM

When the curator of the chennai pitch prepared the pitch, everybody cursed him like anything for the pitch not helping bowlers resulting rains of runs and a match drawn. Are you people wants any result in the test matches ? Ahd pitch is like that.In future also please prepare pitches like this in all india level basis because, when we want, we score centuries, but when we want wickets, we are not getting, Because, we are not trained on this type of pitches which equals australian and england pitches. First our people must get experience and practice in this type of pitch

Hopeless to see the cry baby blaberring idiotically....

You guys already want ads, sponsors, benefits, central and state govt aids, good looking actress, vacations, pay packages.... Now you want your kind of wicket, team that loses to you(no matter how bad you perform), individual records, meek and humble opposition team...

What a moron!!
What a loser!!

Stop it you moron!!

Mr. M. - Indian batsmen looked lazy and were not mentally into it. Perhaps no one told them the test series has begun.

However, every country plays to their strength. For e.g. SAF and Australia dont give you sping friendly wickets on the first day. So - I think it is necessary to play to our strengths and not against it.

Our "strength", in Australia, were the pace bowlers. Not spin. Our "strength" in Australia were the top 5 batsmen, not just two spinners.
Even to this day, our "strength", is four specialist batsmen (NOT batters!!!)
On a slow Chennai pitch, our "spin strength" could do nada, and couldn't run through the opposition. What "strength" are we talking about. As the earlier commentor mentioned, these goons want dead flat tracks, Bangladesh like teams to beat around and carry forth their ad campaigns, frolic around with movie starlets.. I am so relishing this demolition.

Mahesh:

Don't get so upset with your favorite team just because they didn't perform well.

I understand your emotions, but no need to shout out so loud without any coherence at all. Whom are you shouting at?
Bhajji? - He did admirably given the circumstances. He took 3 wickets on a swinging pace-friendly greentop. What else do you expect from him?
You are calling Bhajji a loser because he isn't happy with the pace-friendly pitch? I notice you aren't happy with the Indian team's performance either. What does that make you?

Cheers!

Looks like you are so kiddish and just do fool talk...

You go there play and not complain... If you think the ground was not spin friendly, why would they go with 2 spiners? You could have added an extra pace bowler and 1 spinner out...

A bowler should have the caliber to prove himself in any ground... See Warne, Murali, Giles, Vettori, etc... they all have proved, it's not the wicket that matters, but it's how intelligently you bowl, contain and pressure the opponents...

By just complaining, he's just bringing bad name to fellow bowlers and the captain... Moreover, if there is a spin friendly wickets, we'll the Indian team go with 4 spinners and 1 pacer... NO... they just have the 3 pacers/2 spinners mantra and no matter what the'll just stick to it...

No point in supporting the puppet cricketers like harbajan... they need to mature themselves and improve themselves to international standards...

Anyways, it's all bull shit with Indian cricket...
