Hey.. now its getting too much... Shoiab Malik's wicket was taken by Irfan Pathan (not Yousuf as mentioned in the article). Cummon rediff guys, you can get away with small factual errors, but not with this final that whole India has watched and re-watched.

first rediff told that pathans have not been rewarded by MODI for communal reasons n now this useless article... but the fact is tht MODI has rewarded both pathans 5-5 lakhs and baroda cricket association has rewarded them with 11-11 lakhs.... it seems REDIFF is muslim fundamentalist site thts why it is putting out wrong info and bringing muslim angle in cricket also and thus inciting communal feelings evident by going thru blogs of earlier news that Modi is not rewarding... i didnt know that rediff is such sick minded site and so communal... i wud like to know who is running REDIFF.. is he from fuckistan or lasker-e-toiba... see this article also so useless full of errors and unnecessarily glorifying yusuf when the whole team is a champion... we dont need preaching from rediff and politicians to know how much each member has contributed... SHAME ON REDIFF.....

The other day when there were heavy protests when India came back knocked out from the 1st round league itself people were saying that there must be proportions to any thing. The defeat does not warrant that kind of reaction from the Cricket loving public. Now with the T20 Wporld cup every one is going over the board and offering astronomical amounts in cash to these players who were at best just lucky, though , yes, were quite competent in the closing stages from the poor tax payer's money.Is this not excessive over reaction? With many serious problems threatening our day to day existence like poor farmers committing suicide as a result of penury and loan burdens, our Hon. Agriculture Minister and so many other Governments see fit to lavish lakhs and lakhs of tax payers money on these already pampers and stinking rich spoilt brats of Cricket.
The Hockey players and others like Sania Mirza the First Indian Woman player to be seeded in a Grand Slam Tennis tournament have valid reasons to complain about this kind of stupid partiality to Cricket over other things in this Country.
Making international debut in a world cup final needs a big heart. Yusuf was about to be runout before even facing a ball. There was some yes/no before start of run. The way Yusuf dived and reached the crease was a tremendous treat to watch. Next, the fearless hit off Asif for six runs was a very clean shot, a delightful scene.
He declared his arrival by scoring 2 runs a ball (15 off 8). He was out off a difficult catch taken running in the opposite direction by the pakistani fielder. Had Yusuf survived for another 3-4 overs, Pakistan would have lost the match by at least 25 runs.
Getting enough opportunities would be a question for him since many Indian openers are around for Fifty50 / Twenty20 matches (Sachin, Saurav, Gautam, Viru, etc.)

In the Final Match of 20-20, YP scored 15 runs, bowled 1 over in which he gave just 5 runs, took the catch of Yonis Khan bowled by Joginder Sharma.
