There are many fools who comment negatively on Ganguly unfairly. What they forget is that Ganguly had a contribution even in the recent success of Team India. He was instrumental in discovering some of the top performers in the current 20/20 team - including Dhoni, Yuvraj, Sehwag, Harbhajan, Pathan inspite of opposition from BCCI selectors headed by More.
Yuvi, Sehwag have all publicly acknowledged Dada's contribution to their careers.Even recently Sreesanth praised Ganguly about how he guided him in controlling his bowling under foreign wickets. Compare this to Greg Chappell who clearly contributed in making Irfan Pathan to lose his bowling skills a year back by trying to experiment with him.
So we need to acknowledge Ganguly's exceptional contribution as a role model to Team India.
Every time he went out to bat he looked determined to do well. Well done boy. You are super batsman to us. A man with no repute and no ego playing and enjoying the game there.
GOOD BYE GANGULY. Dada you & your politics, your mediocre innings, Your fearful batting against pacers, Your not out innings against minnows like Kenya Zim, Bangla Desh to boost averages, your sluggish lazy and dangerous running between wickets, Shining with bongs on bong channels with help of bong journo's Your fruitless and show piece dives to catch or field the balls,
and all the last four years of your below average performance and effort to stick in team by hook or crook,
Read the writing on walls and please retire. all are things of the past. let Dhoni Sharma Gambhir Viru Pathan Uthappa Karthik rule this cricketing world Good bye Dada
S.Afridi doesn't deserve the man of the series. Even though he has taken 12 wkts and 91 runs, he has never involved in a major victory rather, he performed bad with the bat every time pakistan were in trouble. I would say they had better man of the series from pakistan than Afridi if they have to choose one, Afridi got wkts from minnows and non important games. If they had to choose some one from pakistan, it should have been U.Gul or M.U.Hug, who played so sensibly on their department and played underpressure every time the team required them. For me the real man of the series would have been, Yuvraj sing, even though he perfomed in 2 games, those were the crucial games, made india into finals, sent england and Aussies paking. If not the batsman who played so well on each game and gave india a good start G.Gambir, must be my next choise, even then R.P.Sing would be my 3rd choise because he gave the dream start to india in both final and the do or die encounter against SA. Thus, the decision to make AFridi as the man of the series might sound ok looking at the stats but as i watched all the games, S.Afridi might come down to 7 or 8th in my list.
My List 1st. G.Gambir 2nd. R.P.Sing 2nd. U.Gul 4th. M.U.Hag 4th. Y.Sing 6th. S.Malik 6th. I.Pathan 8th. S.Afridi
The best performer from India was R P singh who consistently bowled well. Shoeb Malik had all the reasons to praise him. But Dhoni did not speak a word about him. Dhoni prised Bhajji.. God knows why? Bhajji did the worst job of all bowlers. Indians are always partial and can not give the credit to the real performers. It happens in all fields.. right from the freedom fighting..
there is only one top batsman and only one bowler figuring from the champion team. that itself shows, that india played as a team and there is no single hero. it is only the indian team that ended up the top. tis great.
