Karthik has been in good form in test cricket ....his last 6 innings in the England series have produced scores of 58,60,62,22,91,8. So i guess based on those scores he deserves a place on the team.
Big Three must be provided with plenty of chances for their past achievement for team India, till their left cricket days. Bcoz if any one of the three click in any match, that will be a great boon to the team.

don't say Big 3. say Big 2. That bengal cat looks like a tiger against minnows. But against aus,pak,s.a. etc. it is a cat only.It is a high time to remove bengal cat from both the forms of cricket.
yuvi's weaknesses: Playing against spin and swingers just out side off stump. In test cricket 80% of the time you are tested by deliveries in these corridors. I would say Pathan has better technique when it comes to defence out side off. - This was evident last time McGrath and Co toured India for Tests when both these guys were batting together. So yes he may get away against mediocore bowling attacks but i am not convinced he is a test material. I dont know about his current test avg, but i would be surprised if its more. I am a big yuvi fan and just becasue he isn't a test material doesn't mean he is not great. He is a great ODI/T20 player ...let him be where he does better.
