THE Australian skipper also reveals how his team's World Cup-winning celebrations almost ended in disaster %u2014 with the possibility of even a night in jail %u2014 in the West Indies earlier this year after the team ventured back onto the Bridgetown pitch to sing its celebratory song Under the Southern Cross following its win over Sri Lanka in the final. You see, as each player recalled their personal cup highlight, Ponting noticed a group of policemen had come up behind them, one saying: "Righto boys, time to go, you've got to get off the ground." "Hang on," said Ponting. "We've just won the World Cup. Can't you give us one minute? Unfortunately, I added a swear word into that request, which the police officer did not appreciate at all. 'You cannot cuss like that in Barbados,' he said firmly, as his mood blackened. He stepped towards me, and my teammates moved in behind me, as if a real stink was about to take place. I think they threatened to lock us up for the night, and we soon realised that we weren't going to be permitted to finish our ceremony. As a diplomat, I'd failed miserably, and I'm fully aware I shouldn't have sworn like I did, though I do wonder why they couldn't have given us a little more time. We went back to the dressing room, packed up our things, and returned back to the hotel, where we
monkeys might not like being compared to symonds.. and for that matter how come this australian photographer never gets pics in his own backyard... he should get his plate full in australia... i think some Indian phtographer should take a cue from his leaf & expose the australians...
The noice and den created by this whole Symonds affair makes me to forget the real meaning for 'Racism'. I am 100% sure that whomsoever decided to taunt Symonds, would have got that idea, based on Symond's appearance, hairdo and mannerism and not at all on his origin. I dont understand as to why people make a hue an cry over this irrelevant matter!
Many foreign ex-players are talking irrelevant things about Sachn Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly - calling for their elimination from the International Cricket scene. Can we assume that since this Big 3 are of Indian original - non-white in colour, they are making racial abuse. If such an idea is wrong, how come Symond's epidose could be different??

Oh my boy...indeed very innocent thinking! Come on give yourself a decent rest rather than writing such an unreadble craps. Fundamentals of racism...see white people are not any superior race, they are just like any other human being.Stop taking white skinned people as the benchmark for racism. It may be subjected by any other race to another. What is happening in Zimbabwe-majority black govt. denying the political and fundamental rights to white population is also a racism, which in this case the white people are the victim. If indian suffers or sujected to unequal treatment from a black skinned negro regime in africa because of racially motivated reasons, wouldn't you call the black skinned people a racist? or you'd still prefer to call the white people only as racist...not brown skinned indian or black negro as racist... Use you intellect..
shard pawar for all his life gets abused by indians ,suddenly ponting pushed him in excitement and indians so jealous of aussies dominating circket that they suddenly make a hoo hhaa like pawar is some gandhiji and they very easily forget the other senior citizens who get pushed around like animals in trains buses the streets ,the message is clear its just jealousy for the aussies tat all

abe amrikki ashish.. first go and change your name to either tom, dick or harry and then go and put out those wildfires.. you take care of your own country and stop worrying about ours.. now get lost before i lose my cool and again call you what you really are... a self hater, confused identity
Most of the Indians are inherently racist since we practice the caste system..which is nothing but a form of racism. Hence Indians should not be offended but be proud of our culture.

ashish, how can anyone be jealos of you, you are one of kind!
here is your story.........read on..
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Ashish is happy and barking in melbourne...here is his touching true story He grew up in Mumbai, his mo m was a wh ore, his sis too. He does not know his d ad. He used to beg for food, and often he was so domised on the streets for food. Once a Australian tourist gave him some money and a idea- Ashish why dont you come to Melbourne and be my sex sl ave, I will give you free internet, food and a place in dog's kennel.
Ashish, who used to go hungry often, jumped at thgis offer.Imagine, now he would have his own kennel space, just the thought made him giddy with happines.
So he is now Chris's se x sla ve in Australia.Often he posts here in rediff about his anger at not getting a kennel space in India. And rightly so!!
So just ignore this poor fellow, just shooo him next time you see him post!
He may be proud of his efforts, but will he take a picture of Australian crowd misbehaviour and publish it? I think our Indian media person should expose their misbehaviour

If Indian media is ready to do that, we will get 100's of picture on each cricket playing day. Aussies are the worst racist. But what our crowd did is clearly not acceptable.
What did the australians do when sri lanka toured in Australia. What did they do with Muralitharan. they booed him. Is that not a mistake. Why it is all happening in India. What did the ICC do at that time. This is becomming a big problem with ICC.
