Why should he replace only saurav, he should replace Dravid,Sachin and Dada al alone, with a great high average of 26.00, he should be allowed to replace all the three seniors!

Raina averages 26.61 at strike rate 72.68 all against quality oppositions.
Dada averages 36.13 against quality oppositions at strike rate 73.65
Dada opens innings whereas Raina comes at 6 th or 7 th position. Raina is live wire fielder who saves atleast 20-25 runs compared to Dada. And he has been taken in Odd matches in series we have not played him consecutive two matches after windies tour.
He may or may not replace Chaddi Ganguly but youngster is not usless as you project.
He can rplace Dada a "Chaddi cricketer" not other two seniors.

Ganguly mediocreness is reflecte in this report... The telegraph on October 8 th report says Assistant secretary Snehasish Ganguly%u2019s role will also come under the scanner. There has been growing pressure from a section of the members for his resignation. Snehasish has conceded to having introduced Pradip Todi, younger brother of Ashok, to the police chief. He is also a director in their company. It may be recalled that police had raided Todi%u2019s Burrabazar office in 2002 and arrested four persons in connection with a betting racket. Three computers and eight mobile phones were seized. Todi was interrogated by officers of the anti-rowdy section but was let-off. Till late on Sunday, Snehasish neither took calls nor responded to text messages from The Telegraph seeking details of when he got involved with Todi. If Snehasish%u2019s Todi links do go back to 2002, then the wisdom of his continuing to have business ties with Todi is bound to raise eyebrows as younger brother Sourav was then the Team India captain.

He was sidelined due to stupidity of selectors. Kaif is essentially a test batsman, a very good one actually. They tried to label him as a ODI batsman only because he is a good fielder. He could not throw his bat to ball in slog situationa and they axed him from ODI team and also probably shut doors for his Test prospects. This off course suited the seniors.

i dont agree,i think kaif had enough chances,he was a good fielder no doubt, but his batting has lot to be desired. He mostly depends on cheeky singles and occasionally edges for boundrys, apart from the natwest final, there is nothing much to speak about, his match winning abilities.Infact our own VIRU demands a place in ODIs,TEST and 20/20 team.
