this australian team is not as great as that time windies and we are losing not because we lack talent but because the entire management of team is bad. we are losing the mind game played by aussies of which they are masters.

Thats right Gaurav. Do not know why nobody understands that Aussies fabulous at mind games. Before they started the series they lifted Dhoni, saying that he is a good captain. They lifted India saying they got good yound talent. I have never seen Aussies praising opposition team like this, earlier. These guys are here with some goal. We guys have really great talent. But as you said, the Management guys have got a lot of say in this. Maybe they are even dictating who should play, and how they should play? God save our country and team.

The difference between then WI team and the Aussies now is that WI were cultured and civilized - they played with true spirit as sports persons, without any sort of arrogancy, unfortunately aussies lack both the quality - they are arrogant people - success have gone into their heads. they were badly beaten by india, pakistan and even zimbabe.

This team is so much better than WINDIES,because those days there were only 3 or 4 teams other than WINDIES to play top level cricket, then they had SLanka and Newzeland, the fav whipping boys of most teams. And still WINDIES won only twice and lost to India in 1983
Whereas AUS have WON WCUP 4 times
1987
1999
2003,2007(Without losing a single match in looooooooong tournaments)

Gaurav, dont talk big things like "Mind Games"
Compare the Atleticism of 35 Year old Aussies with 22 year old Indian Players. The Aussies convert singles into twos, take very sharp singles, effect terrific saves on the Field and get people like Ganguly Runout. Where is the mind game coming in?We are a better
talented team done in by lack of Athleticism.
To the extent that Fielding has not been accorded Importance[look at the Selection of Ramesh Powar and Munaf Patel!] the BCCI is responsible for our Defeats.

i agree it is not one factor but a cobination of factors. athleticism is one just like commitment, attitude, thoughtful selection of players etc. but mind game is one that they play very cleverly. they know whom to praise whom to irritate. they have created an awe of their superiority. they are a good side but not as unbeatable as they look like. it is the mind game which weakens the opponents before even a single ball is bowled. to this they add their good game and get the desired result

Right thought Gaurav!
People and board should stop getting them to crown when they win and kick back as the loss.

The results would have been the same whether we play the Young Talent or the Old Talent.Unless our Athletecism improves we will be no match for the Aussies,S.Africans and the NewZealanders. Look at the fielding of 21 year old Munaf Patel! Can any team win with such Fielders? In Fielding,Running between the Wickets we loode atleast 50 to 75 runs. Where is the question of winning? Probably with more rural Players like Dhoni we stand a chance in the Future.

Dont tell any thing about Munaf, He has promised BCCI that he will run faster if he is selected next time,BCCI is also looking for a running coach for Munaf.

I only took Munaf as an example. THERE are many others [Majority]who are very slow on the Field. And overnight Munaf [or Powar] cann't improve their Fielding abilities [by running fast!]. My point is that there is a world of difference on the Fielding and running between the wickets Dept. and unless we improve drastically in these we will be no match for the Aussies [in spite of better Talent]. As a Team we are lacking.

Regretfully munaf and powar are lethargic and ungraceful. we are bound to lose the match if they are included in the international matches. let them play county (i mean domestic) cricket and learn a livelyhood.

Something is missing with team india .. as we know rahul never give his wicket cheaply . but as soon ragul backs himself with a bang .. then team can win .. rahul need to get some run .. otherwise team should close door for the likes of three big name .. lets see wat young telent can do .. Luck is with them
