Greats of Greats Sachin Tendulkar
by Nathan Somas on Oct 10, 2007 07:22 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin has the better strike rate and similar average than the rivals Ponting, Hyden and Lara, Kalis. When the comparison comes to Gilgrist, Jaya and stuff he has 12-13 runs more average than them.
Out of 41 Hundreads 29 of them endup in winning Note. Out of 84 50s 50 of them end up in winning note. Thus whenever he makes 50 or more india ends up winning 79/125 games.

He has got 10 Man of the match and 2 man of the series award against the great aussies in 51 games that he played thats almost 1 out of 5 games.

Correct. Every oppostion player feels honoured to play against sachin, and look at the excitement after getting his wicket, whether it is monty from england, Hogg from aussy or any other bowler from around the world. His wicket is still considered very precious, If they get sachin's wicket, it is as if half of the match is won by them.

This is the aura of the real genious. Is there anyone in our team as good as sachin, who is feared and respected by the oppenet even after playing for 18 years!!!

Sachin has matured with time...we should as well !!
by Maneesh Kapoor on Oct 10, 2007 07:10 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin is one of the best in the world. Talented youngsters like Suresh Raina, S Badinath etc.. can learn more by playing with sachin than they can learn from a Gautam Ghambir!!!

He has played so well over his career that even though he is only one of 7 people to complete 1000 runs in this year, people think he is not playing well. It tells you how much we expect from him and how well he has performed over the years.

It should be us begging him to carry on playing for as long as possible so that the next generation of players can benefit from his experience and we get the pleasure of watching him play. The only problem with us Indians is that even after nearly 2 decades, we want to see him play like he was 18 yrs old and when it doesn't happen, we get disappointed. So where is the Problem??? It's not sachin for sure, cause he still manages to win/save matches for us, like the previous odi against australia....

Sachin, Sourav and Rahul have been the catalyst of Indian cricket for more than a decade..just imagine how it was before them!! As for the world cup, South Africa have also not won a major tournament in 3 decades, are they a bad team??

As for comments on adverts & money, he has more money than half of us put together. Also, he will keep getting adverts as long as he is associated with cricket even remotely...like Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Steve Waugh, Brian Lara, Kapil Dev, Robin Singh, V Prasad etc...so stop being idiots and enjoy him while you ca

The great genius of the game Lara, Ponting, Warne, Akram, ask any one of the who is their favorite ofcourse they will say Sachin, then ask them who is the best they faced against the awnser would be the same. Please guys don't make fool of ourselves. Please only comment about sachin if you truly understand the game and if you truly knows what he has done for the country so far.

Played 399 Won 197 Lost 179 no result 23
Most MoM awards 55 55/376 Thats almost 1 out of 7 game he wins the game for India. He also has 13 man of the series award and thats also a world record, Jayasuriya stands second with 11 man of the series award.

Arun, you c*ck suc*ing bi*ch faced f*ck. Why on earth do we have people like this guy in India? Why cant we just enjoy the guy known to be the greatest batsman of his generation?

Guys like this Arun are so insecure of their Pe*nis size that they have to bring down the greats to feel like they even exist. I guarentee you this guy has a P*nis the size of a little marble barely showing and balls the size of mustard grains.

Stop bringing your own people down you insecure pri*k.

he is doing no service to the team. he scores to keep himself in the team. as long as he and ganguly types are around, team will not mature. they live in their own world and are least interested in young players. selfish. it spoils the atmosphere. inspite of runs, he must go. this is the right time.
