Fielding Standard
by mahesh rocki on Oct 04, 2007 09:37 AM  | Hide replies

India Won the T20 World Cup Bcoz of its Sensible Batting, Good Running Between Wickets and Good Fielding, As Soon as Seniors were included in the Team for ODI's Against Aussies Fielding Standards Have Dipped , Ganguly who was Resting for Almost 1 month , went out due to HamString Injury, That Shows The Level of Fitness of Ganguly, The Problem with Seniors does Not Lie with Talent but with Fitness, wat's the Use of Players who r Not Match Fit,Aussies always pick The Best 11, Ricky Ponting is 80% Fit, But he is not Playing and Coming and GIving Drinks like 12th Man.That Shows The Fielding and Fitness Standards of Australia and India. If India dont Maintain Fitness and Fielding Standards They Will this Series.

Dravid has hardly missed ever any match because of fitness problem. He has played a record number of consecutive matches without missing any match because of injury problem. His record in this aspect is amazing. Btw Ganguly has told Headlines News today correspondent that he was not sure whether he would be fit enough to play third ODI.

Because my friend, Dravid is not an allrounder. He also doesn't come in to open the innings...he whould atleast try to come in at no. 3....even that he doesnt want to come.

Pls check your records and you will find that the time spent by Dravid in the last 10 matches is only 40% of what Ganguly has spend in Batting or Bowling combined...

Do you get it?

That's Good, After Munaf Patel , Ganguly is the Worst Fielder in Indian Side.

Why not sachin? He never performed when needed....Now I heard the news that He has decided to take rest in Chandirarh and baroda mathes, beklieve me man its because of fear of facing the australian attack and he knows conststent failures in 6 ODIs against australias will tell the truth abput his so called great batting:-)

I s the Newz Correct , If Sachin is Taking Rest for 4th and 5th ODI's That SHows He is Not Match FIt, How can He Choose To Play Matches, Either He Should Play All Matches Or HE Should Retire, If He is Taking Rest Only to Play in Mumbai ODI then Its Clear, He is not a Team Man, How Can BCCI Allow That, He is Not Injured , How Can Saurav and Sachin Take Rest and Choose their Matches, This is BCCI Politics.

India won the 2nd ODI
by dip dutt on Oct 04, 2007 08:50 AM  | Hide replies

India won the 20/20 against Australia during the second ODI at Kochi.

Australia after 20 overs were 86/3
India were 103/4

With our radarless enthusiasm, that is what's going to happen. We will be ahead after 20 overs in every match but lose the series..

You need strategy and experience to play 50 over cricket..

What mordern cricket needs
by ajish jacob on Oct 04, 2007 08:06 AM

Nowadays, Cricket has been moved to a level where the players have to be mentally and physically fit, not only the skills in batting or bowling. Australians have shown this to the whole world in the last decade. As far as the Current Indian OD team is concerned, we have a lot of talented players but not as fit as Australians, mentally or physically.

The T-20 Team which won the world cup, showed the above mentioned qualities many times in the tournament. They were fearless (mentally fit) and the most important thing was all of them were able to contribute something to the team in anyone of the sessions of the game. For Instance, if a batsman fails to score run, he could contribute to the team by taking some excellent performance in fielding.

It%u2019s not possible to score Tons or taking 5 wickets in all the matches. But the point is if a batsman/bowler fails, he should be able to contribute something to the team in the other session of the game.

In the case of Sachin/Dravid/Ganguly , they are great batters. But if they fail in batting their contribution to the team is ZERO since its difficult for them to be excellent fielders at this age. So it%u2019s always better to have young blood in limited over games.

Henceforth if the selectors take a pure batsman/bowler in the team for limited over cricket, they should make a basic criterion that he should be a good fielder.

Let our Masteros play test cricket where they will get a chance to exhibit their skills. But in

Ganguly may not play third ODI also
by Sanjeev Verma on Oct 04, 2007 07:47 AM  | Hide replies

I just heard in Headlines Today that Ganguly was not sure whether he would be available for the third ODI also. It looks that he may not be available for this series.

I had already guessed after he declared himself unfit for the second ODI. I remember that somone in this board claimed that he would bit fit for the third ODI. Today, I heard Ganguly telling a Headlines News correspondent that he was not sure whether he would be fit for third ODI.

think about this.... do u think what I said is right
by Aravind sai on Oct 04, 2007 02:57 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin,Ganguly,Dravid are not that aggressive players.

see in last match how sachin played....he tried to get some aggression when Uthappa is playing some aggressive cricket.....and as a result lost his wicket.
If Uthappa had not played that aggressive cricket.....sachin would not have tried to play Aggressive cricket and as a result the runrate of india would have gone even very low....and india could have ended in somewhere 150 odd runs.

Nowadays in many teams....many odies are leaving ODI and Yougsters have taken their place..... so all teams have got up with that aggression(aggressive BAtting).....but india is lagging far behind that ...which resulted in india drop down of ODI rank to 6th position.

See 20-20 cricket....indian team filled with youngsters who reasonably play fast cricket..... got the 20-20 cup for us...

what I mean is that Its high time that.... Sachin,Sourav,Dravid(better than former two....when comes to aggression) should leave ODI's and concentrate on Test matches.

Get back youngsters into the team and also concentrate on including allrounders in the team.

see.....Ms.dhoni is basically agggressive player and now he aslo satrted to get slowdown in his batting(with captainship as his responsibility).....

Most of Former crickets in india are not that aggressive.... this is what sachin,Dravid, sourav has carried with them when they are young.... now they are passing lack of aggression to young players also.... this is should not
