The war of words between ICL & IPL will not solve the crisis. Ultimately we are looking for better cricket and the better contest. Please avoid politics. BCCI instead of objecting ICL should back them. Why this idea of Premire league was came in BCCI minds, just because they lack cricketing knowledge. BCCI please be wise and give justice to Indian Cricket.

Actually thisis all a big ploy - where every one involved with ICL and/or IPL will make money at the expense of aam junta... In near future ICL and IPL are going to be like AFC and NFC of AMERICAN Footbal (NFL). This will become a great employment opportunity for good players who otherwise do not get to the Indian team.

It should go that way but I doubted BCCI, with their current structure and work ethic, will be able to form frinchise network that NFL has. Yes Essar is capable of doing it with their Professionalism and commercial skill sets..

Mumbai is the Ranji champion team. They dominate and they win. They have p[roved themselves in all ranji trophies that they should dominate the national team. Time people start respecting worth earned through performance. be biased but progressively biased not regional biased

How many players from India who never made it to the national team are present in the IPL? I guess none.... I am not sure how it would help Indian cricket. Its another money minting exercise by the corrupt BCCI. If ICL could survive the initial years then its really good for cricket in India... bcoz as Atapattu said its an employment oppurtunity for the players who don't make it to the national team....At the top level the difference between players talent/hard-work wise is very less...Luck is a major factor which decides who makes it to the national team.. and its unfair on the players who make peanuts when comapred with the players in the national team.

Luck is not the factor. The region where the player is in, the city in which he resides, the region from which the captain and the selectors are present will decide the fates of the players.
All time great Kapil Dev never touched any uncertain/flop things and I am confident and wish the tournament must be a successful one. It should bring a lot of enthusiasm among Indian Cricket Professionals. Side-by-side want to demolish BCCI's monopoly.
