Mate I dont know if you follow cricket or not but picking Munaf and Irfan for test before Zaheer looks a bit wierd. I think Zaheer has been India's most consistent and improved bowler for last 18 months - Munaf lacks attitude I dont think he will go far. My team

The Basic of the Selection team is not clear. The Captain ANIL KUMBLE is Missing. Please do work on at least actual moves. Have a nice time.
In 2007, following are the highest run scorers in one day:
Hayden: 1555- 29 matches Tendulkar: 1425 - 33 matches Yuvraj: 1287 - 36 matches (1 x 100s, 9 x 50s, 3 x0s) Ganguly: 1240 - 30 matches (12 x 50s, 2X0s) Dravid: 823: 31 matches (8 x 50s, 3 x 0s) Gambhir: 634 - 21 matches (1 x 100s, 3 x 50s, 3 x 0s) Utthappa: 509 - 22 matches (3 x 50s and 2 x 0s).
Ganguly also is a very useful 5th bowler who enables India to take an additional batsman...he also bowled 76 overs in 2007 for 7 wckets and gave away 344 runs (liitle less than 4.5 runs per over!!!)
I wonder with this performance, how many teams would dare to make him sit out??? But unfortunately, in our country regionalism and politics reign supreme!!!! and he is made to sit if he doesnt perform in 1 or 2 innings...and at whose cost...these bunch of "futures" like Gambhir and Utthappa....
Even at the age of 36 he delivers and contributes a lot.
Salute to Saurav Ganguly!
I know Idlis as usual will react viciously and start abusing...

Dada better than sachin he is a hero of india cricket team only one tiger that my bengal tiger.
brilliant n gutsy performance by a teenager called pujara (who was man of the series in junior world cup). it was gr8 since he single handedly saved the match against delhi against all the odds by scoring unconquered 148. his side needing 327 to win, was down at 106/8, drew the match ending the score 254/9. he is definitely developing into a good prospect as he has the appetite for playing long innings.

RE:India's Worst Players List

i think atul bedade, dinesh mongia, kanitkar and sodhi can be spared from a list with gagam khgoda, sujit somasundar etc. i still think sodhi and mongia can make come backs if they try well. others in the list deserve where they are. remember, avishkar salvi almost fooled us by pretending and being reported as the next mcgrath and even the bangladesh batsmen then were relishing thoughts of facing his dollies. and india has been bold enough to go to australia and open test matches with devang gandhi:-)) remember amay khurasiya shuffling across the stumps with wasim akram in full throttle? we can keep writing about the other dudes(esp their footwork against some sharp bowling) but limited space here.
The important thing about sachins and yuvis 1000 runs in 2007 is that most of the runs came against pretty competitive teams(aus, pak, eng,SA and WI). I guess that should silence some critics who keep shouting about sachin scoring every time against kenya and zimb. the statistician in this article could skip trivial details like irfan pathan's third best score against pak etc. common!! third best score against pak??? i understand a stats guy is looking for something but he can do better. hope these guys can continue to have a decent show down under in about a month or so. the verbal battle from there is about to start, with ponting abundantly shouting about indian vulnerability to pace and ya da ya da. Hope they can stand up like the last tour there and make them and their fans really frustrated.
