Both the openers especially Dinesh Karthik has been woefully out of form and this might be a problem for India if Dravid has to come out too early in the innings .. If the bad form continues .. we could have Dravid or VVS come out to open directly .. and make place for Yuvraj in the middle order.
Pace Attack has been a perennial worry for Indian Cricket .. and still continues .. The Pace attack should be able to make a few early breakthrough's so that the spinners do not get established and set batsman to bowl too .. otherwise the spinners will be taken for runs too!
If India manage to do decently in these two areas .. then we should not have much problem .. not only here against Paki's but against the Aussies too!
A Job well begun is half done .. so we need to start well with the bat and the ball!

DK and Jaffer has done a decent job against Bangladesh and england when they came to open together. DK got a century against bangladesh and almost got to another one in England.DK is a technically sound player and more suited for tests, he has been reshuffled too much in the ODI's.Jaffer can to prove strong mentally in the tests, A decent stand of 80plus for the opening can do justice to the job.

Irfan Pathan was totally useless in the last ODI against Pakistan - his bowling figures have not been good at all lately...... it seems that south african girl has affected him more than what we think - what u reap you will sow....

Agarkar is hailed as an all-rounder ONLY BY THE MEDIA!!! Readers seem to have forgotten the interview by Agarkar (to rediff) that he had proclaimed that "It was the media who have hailed me as an all-rounder"
Mr. Gentileman,You know dravid , what he is .Indian Test squad is meaning less without him . Do not make your further comment about him. Otherwise , I will..............

U are right sirji dravid is the only guy who plays in foreign pitches well rest all are tigers at home only.
RE:Rahul Dravid

dravid WAS a good batsman but his greed towards captaincy has spoiled him totally, he shld not be the part of team now, he is no longer a team man

why? Dhoni played good innings in England. Yuvi has not been given many chances since he hit the sintillating and responsible form. In fact Yuvi should be played in the final XI in place of VVS.

this is the pity of we indians, if a player had a good knock once in a lifetime we want to carry on with him only hoping that some day it might be repeated but ALAS the day never comes
RE:hi
by Vinal Gandhi on Nov 14, 2007 04:24 PM
I remember VVS indifferent form recently, especially in England!! And I remeber Yuvi's agility and his maturity. It's high time he is included in the playing XI on a regular basis.
