Dhoni is too biased!
by K Chandru on Nov 15, 2007 06:54 PM

Having selected Murali Karthik for the first two tests, what's the wisdom behind dropping him and playing Sehwag in his place? Now that we have a keeper who himself is an excellent bat, isn't it time we revert back to playing 5 specialist bowlers? Won't dropping Murali Karthik time and again, spoil his confidence? I'm sure, he may be even left out of the final 11 and dumped after the second test. There's a lobby working strongly for the return of Sehwag in all forms of cricket. This is just another attempt in that direction.

In the 11 spots available, there's only one (Robin Uthappa) player from south India. What the hell the south zone selector is doing? Wake up man! You're representing the case of more than 50 players vying for a spot in the national team. I'd advise the likes of Badrinath, Yo Mahesh, Venugopal Rao to join ICL and make themselves richer atleast. We'll sure watch you playing in ICL league as all we want is only entertainment; no matter, who offers it.

GPS System Trap
by Nikita Sharma on Nov 15, 2007 03:02 PM  | Hide replies

RP Singh is wearing a strap on his right arm. That is a GPS System that measures the distance a player has covered in a match. Ricky Ponting was once wearing that gadget and at the end of the day the gadget showed that he had covered 16 kilometers on that day!!!

whats the big deal one of their batsmen will settle and we will look at tendulkars/gangulys/sehwags/yuvrajs to see that they dont give more than 7 runs an over for their 10 overs and then it will be 240/3 in 40 overs and then 325/6 in 50.

we have started a lost battle here.. my take is 73 from ten from these people

another thing is i dont want them to win and get into an illusion that they can anyway somehow manage to win matches inspite of bad strategies and then lose crucial ones like against aussies and SA the best in business and also matches of world cups

by Nihit Saxena on Nov 15, 2007 02:24 PM

what else do you expect with a team walking on one leg in a 100 m sprint .. i think we should go with 11 batsmen and expect to score 600 so that noone can win even with underarm bowling

i am sure if they had option of 22 players they would still keep 17 batsmen rather than focusing on attacking thru bowling.. cuz we are a batsmen country everyone likes batting and no one likes fielding or bowling.. ask the kids in your street

its ok .. you dont have to be bothered by someone making a fool of himself.. if a dog barks people dont have to bark back. however since i have not seen him doing anything so bad yet i would give him a chance to do that before saying anything.. so i request not to start a new discussion with prejudice

its not supporting Mumbai and all dear. Its just opposing Dravid in ODI team. That also just becoz he didnot followed his instructions and not tolerated his interference and at last gave resignation but to Pawar not to Vengi. Its that simple. Its ego problem not region problem.
