Do you really think that Yousuf is of the same calibre that of Robin Uthappa/Gautam Gambhir/Manoj Tiwari/Badrinath?? I don't.
I freaked out when Yusuf hit a 6 in the first / second (cant remember exactly)over of an innings that two in a WC Final. The Pakis must have lost all their confidence.I liked his fearless attitude. Along with Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik (I still remember Kaarthik hitting a 6 to win with a ball to spare in our first T20 match ever against South Africa), Yuvraj and Dhoni, Yusuf is the new breed of FEARLESS,AGGRESSIVE Indian players. To this list of 5 batsmen if you add Sreesant, RP, Irfan and Murali we have a great hope for a Fearless Indian Team. Rohit Sharma is another one for the future. Only hope Yusuf does not waste the best years of his talent on the sidelines.
He should not be used for 20-20 alone. He should be given a chance to play in ODI. In fact ODI format needs only genuine alrounders in the team. Unfortunately in India we consider players like Yuvraj, Sehwag and Gangulli as alrounders. They in fact are batsmen who can also bowl. We need alrounders like Kapildev and Manoj Prabhakar. I think today only Praveen Kumar who opens batting and bowling for UP appears to be lone contender for alrounder's position.

Fully agreed about trying out Yusuf in ODIs. Also Kumar should be given a chance in the current series Vs Pakistan to see if he is a candidate for the Australian tour. Surely a player who can open the bowling and batting is a dream come true.
