July 19th, 2007 (rediff)

England batsman Ian Bell believes that Rahul Dravid is one of the best batsmen has he has played against and even rates the Indian captain higher than Sachin Tendulkar.

"After watching Dravid in India last year, I came away thinking he was one of the two best players, along with [Ricky] Ponting, I had come up against. Yes, even better than Sachin. The style Dravid plays in is one that appeals to me," the England batsman wrote in his blog for The Guardian on Thursday.

Here is another sensation seeking MORON. You think Akash Chopra and Wasim Jaffer at the top is a good combination? They will both block 20 overs and the ball will still be new by the time Laxman and Sachin walk in!

AJIT AGARKAR AGAIN!!!! I am really surprised there are still people that like this guy. He played 27 tests for 54 wickets and he deserves to be in the test team!

Munaf Patel got hit for 84 in 9 overs by some no name domestic players. He was completely out of sorts in England. He lied about his fitness and here we have an advocate for this guy.

Dinesh Karthik in tests may not be such a bad idea but Dhoni is the best we can ever hope for. He is level headed and a straight talker.

I have made my comments a bit testy just to arouse some interest back in cricket instead of talking about Gaurav's black as*.

You must be kidding! I do not think that even Vengasarkar will think in terms of dropping Dravid. You have to first remember his performance in the last tour (2003) to Australia:

Rahul Dravid: 619 runs with an average of 123.80
VVS Laxman: 494 runs with an average of 82.33
SR Tendulkar: 383 runs with an average of 76.60
V Shewag: 464 runs with an average of 58.00
S. Ganguly 284 runs with an average of 47.33

Your team is ok. but a couple of changes:
Instead of Aakash Chopra- Badrinath or Raina. They are good fielders than chopra..
Dinesh Kartik can open the innings with jaffer.
Instead of Manoj Tiwari-Irfan Pathan.
we cant win a match with four specialist bowlers.so irfan wil be a key player.
why munaf? -sreesanth or R.P.singh wil be useful.

dude have u seen munaf bowl in west indies? he can bounce the ball off the deck..will be very useful in pitches like WACA (perth) and MCG(Melbourne)..and spare me..raina??..this not oneday cricket for good fielders..this is highest form of cricket where u need to be good for all 5 days...meaning 15 sessions of play.

I think you're right about 'ashish'. 'ashish' seem to be more confused with his identity and bit of inferiority complex. I wouldn't be surprise if "Alirio Saldanha" is the same Gaurav Deol.. Deol used to coe under different name before..

This is a funny forum now
by Jim on Nov 06, 2007 01:21 AM  | Hide replies

This forum has degenerated quite a bit! I dont think the emphasis is on cricket. It seems to be on some fun and the most outrageous statements anyone can make!

Gaurav Deol, I hope for your sake that you are under 25 man. If you are not younger, you are the most moronic figure on the forum.

India won a game and the glaring part of the win was the way the each of the batsmen could have gotten out at least 4 times. Saurav and Tendulkar looked completely out of sorts. Sachin looked like he had just gotten out of bed. There is a sluggishness in his footwork.

The wicket was actually the typical Indian wicket where our guys go to town scoring hundreds. It was not very dissimilar from the Bangalore or the Kochi wickets. Aussies would have definetely put up 300 on this pitch.

Sachin first scratched around and was really hopping against Shoaib. Ganguly had his share of problems against Umar Gul. I think on another day, both would have been out in the first 2 overs and Gambhir should have been out. Had it not been for the lazy Pakistan fielding as always.

If you look at it closely, Yuvi early on was OK, and I think Dhoni looked most comfortable. When he got out and the LBW against Uthappa was turned down, it was clear that it was our day. It could have easily gotten very ugly there.

Shoaib malik made a tactical error in not bringing Umar Gul and Shoaib Akhtar back into the attack earlier. It could so easily have been a weird result for us.

RE:This is a funny forum now

It is not a question of sparing him man. There is something that we Indians need to learn. When you criticize someone, it is because you care for that person. Get away from criticising to kick someone out. When you let someone go, you do it saying "it did not work out". There is no reason to analyze them.

Sachin should be back to his best by the next game. This Pakistani team will win under one condition: India bat first and score about 230. Then they bowl badly with Yusuf and Malik making runs. There is another one, Shahid Afridi goes bonkers and scores another 100 in 30 balls! Those are the only two scenarios for this team to win. Without Inzy, there is no one that can really stay there for 30 overs and then score 50 in like 25 balls in the end.

I think there is a serious chance of a 5-0 win for the Indians if they get their act together.

I asked him something simple about spain and he buggered off.....he does not know nething about spain..he has pulled this fast one..

He is an unemployed loser or a call centre frustu who takes abuses from western clients and feels that he has to put up with this cos he is an Indian..so when he expresses htred for dark skin, he is actually hating himself for his very pitch black skin...

I CAN ASSURE YOU GAURAV DEOL IS A VERY DARK COLORED SHORT MIDGET LIKE WEAK INDIAN WHO IS A NON-ENTITY IN LIFE....

Guys, Spain is full of dark skinned people like people in Northern part of India. Spain was for the longest time a part of the ottoman empire and along with Portugal is full of dark skinned people. Spaniards are not the nordic white and most Brits and Nordic whites consider Italians and Spaniards "Black".

I dont understand this discussion and why your guys are engaging this idiot. Ammar, you must be in your mid twenties or early thirties (I hope), get away from this crap and post your controversial comments on Dravid man. That is a lot more fun than talking to an idiot about some skin color.

If you look closely, Spain, Italy and south of France are all mixed blood between Northern Africa, middle east and southern European. There is no really true European there.

For morons like Gaurav just show him the animal kingdom. Skin turns darker as you move away from the equator because that is the best defence from SUN. Even Polar Bears are a simple example of that. It is genetic evolution that is embeded in all animals. We need to survive so we adapt!

Get back to cricket.

When you are 19/20, the world is full of possibilities..so you are not that bitter even if you fail..

It is typically years of failure and you enter your late 20s...thats when people get resentful and bitter and take it out in a public faceless forum!!

Yes true indian poseur, who quit india and claims to be in spain. It is indeed refreshing - nay amusing, to think that some idiot thinks drinking beer and having pizza in spain is being lucky.
The extent of your intellectual caliber is pretty lucid by your "true fair jat punjabi" statement. Technically, not only are you intellectually challanged, you are also a bigot. The fact that a huge percentage of Indian population is brown (and proud of it) makes your assertion of your skin color extremely offensive. And talking about maharashtrians, I can only mention a few punjabis who had any contribution to the freedom struggle, though i can name scores of maharastrians, even madrasis. The only things punjabis are good at are plagiarism, stealing credit, loud mouthing, name dropping, showing off, dirty politics, scams, tilling the soil...In short hardly any intellectual tasks. So my anthropoid, moronic friend; though evolution might have forgotten your kind, your multi-cultured brethren will still take you under their wing.

Now STFU !!!
