I am sorry to see some people are still not ready to accept that Tendulkar or Gangully are good players, playing against Bangladesh and scoring is just like playing against any other team. When you are out there its all the same. Yes I know there is a difference but no one has the right to say that their 100s were rubbish or useless. I think they have done very well. Bangladesh beat SA and they have beaten other top teams in the recent past. They are not out there to give free runs. I can say one thing for sure. The attitude that some Indian people have makes me feel sorry, and sad, we are very very very very critical abt our own people and our own achievements. We never say yes, He did it, yes he can do it or its ok may be next time. All over the world Indians are famous for stabbing other Indians in the back we all know that, why???? this is because we do it, we dont and cant see our own people prosper, that is the biggest difference between us and the americans or australians or the British. They are where they are because if they are critical about something they STAND UP and change the system, or force the system to change, not just talk like many people I have seen on Rediff.
So you think you know what is right and what is wrong, get up and do something for your country, if you cant stand up and do something then atleast TRY (I am saying TRY) to support other Indians who are atleast representing this amazing country.
I know 90% of the people who read this either wont reply or fight back because they cant read the truth, or they dont want to hear it from someone else, hope I am wrong this time.

Really!!! Had he been born in Australia, first of all he would'nt have even gotten a break in the Aussie team with his selfish attitude. Even if we assume he would have gotten into the team, they would have thrown him in dumpster long back for not performing consistently.

India needs players who can play for the team, who are willing to sacrifice their personal record for teamsake. Not past icons like Sachin whose sell-by-date has been long gone.

not to mention on a flat track. Guys he did not silence his critics. He gives more option to go after him. He is capable of scoring 100s only against minnows these days or on flat tracks.

Oh,Yoy mean Bangladesh are still the minnows? Yeah, they wud still have that tag on if they beat good teams once in a year, but they have been constantly doing so. As for Sachin, it's best to start from the basics again, and then face harder challenges, right?

Well done Sachin, Critics always rise your game.
Critics is part of professional life.

I know u always come away with it.

U r a fantastic player to wath. Better than Lara, Ponting.

People u have to know one thing,

Dont blame when sachin gets out 0.
Dont praise too much when sachin scores 100.

Analyze his game and give suggestion how he can still improve his game.

Sachin Rocks the world Again.

Its of no use scoring centuries against inexperienced teams . This guy claims to have 17 year exp but could not stay at the wicket for more than 17 mins during world cup. We have to set ourselves better standards if not we will end up being fools of our own making .

Remember wat ICC chief had remarked no use in having money if u cant play good cricket.

Rahul Roy
Rahul Dravid, his fan & Indian Cricket - An Introspective
by Rahul Roy on May 20, 2007 01:32 AM  | Hide replies

Initially I thought it is only our mean minded introvert Rahul Dravid is playing politics and trying to get rid of Ganguly at any cost. So that there is no one to claim the captaincy back from him for the next two year even he does poor performance. He understand himself that he doesn%u2019t deserve to be the captain and has no captaincy material. He knows from his heart what a fantastic Captain Ganguly is and he is never able to touch Ganguly%u2019s feet as a Captain.

Now it is clear all the South India and Rahul supporters understand that very well and they want to keep their %u2018LAD%u2019 Rahul Dravid as captain and started %u2018Anti %u2013Ganguly%u2019 campaign whatever way they can. They know under Dravid India%u2019s cricket future is doomed, India has gone down in ICC ranking from 2 to 7, out in 1st round of WC, out in 1st round of ICC championship held in India. But they don%u2019t care about India, all they care about their own interest %u2018Rahul Dravid%u2019.

It is a same and shows how narrow someone%u2019s mind is when they can%u2019t even see a person%u2019s (Ganguly) success and they are stupid enough to express that in a open forum like rediff. They are first to take a piece of Ganguly%u2019s meat when he fails and they can%u2019t bear the fact Ganguly is playing like god from the last SA tour making India proud and performing better. Dravid is of same age of Ganguly but they try to project Dravid as if he is below 30.

It is of this type of people and their regionalist mentality Dinesh Karthik is in team instead of Yuvraj. Ishant Sharma played only 6 Ranji matches with 29 wickets get change in the squad while the highest wicket taker in the domestic cricket for the last two consecutive years and the player of the year %u2018Ranadev Basu%u2019 doesn%u2019t get chance in the squad.

How you pick a young team without picking India%u2019s most successful bowler for the last two consecutive years in domestic cricket? Fast bowler Ranadev Basu has taken double number of wickets( 58 wickets in 8 matches in Indian pitches !!!) than VRV Sing ( another proven failure) an others who got picked for team. 9 wickets in our biggest domestic match %u2018Ranji Final%u2019 against Sachin, Jafar, Ramesh Power, Agarkar, Zahir, Amal Mazumdar, Piyush Chaula, Rohit etc? He also got the player of the year award. What else someone had to do to get a place ? Is it because he is form Bengal and don%u2019t have a non Bengali surname like %u2018Raina%u2019 or %u2018Mongia%u2019 or %u2018Sing%u2019? or is it because he is from Sourav%u2019s State ? Or should we not pick a player when he is in prime form and eager to give 200%? Make him mentally devastated and depressed and then bring into international cricket so that he can not perform?

dravid is not a politics guy. he is down to earth and a humble guy. he doesnt play for himself, he wil do what he thinks is best for the team. that may be different to what you think is best, eg havin yuvraj instead of karthik, but dravid thought that karthik would be better suited to opening the innings, and he got a half century, as he did opening against south africa

Well India should support him till he completes at least he completes 50 tons. Lets have series against zimbabwe and bangladesh. 10 test series. It will definitelly help him become the greatest. See none of us are going to go in the middle. I was trying to say that he had not played the kind of great bwolers like Gavaskar palyed. Look Gavaker not ever wore the helmet against holding, roberts, thompson, lillee, imran, joel garner, colin croft, etc. Look at his ability to tackel bolwers of great fame. Sachin had his days. No doubt he played such beautiful innings, like 1998 he had scored 12 centuries in ODIs. But off late he is not the same person. No one can take off the credit of his great innings. He will remain one of the best in the world. But off late he has not faced the type of bowling which he faced earlier.

Sachin Tendulkar was one of the best - is one of the best & will remain one of the best.
