why not srikanth? Parth ,Sachin and ganguly WERE excellent once upon a time. They r older,slower and unfit most of the time. Sachin himself has said that he is no more 17! He may have some cricket left in him ,but he can never be the Sachin we knew. Have you seen him hooking or pulling against a quality bowler in the last four years? Does he even last long enough to get to 20 these days?He was and is still my favourite. And he should be given a graceful exit. But we just have to accept facts. The idea of opening with aggressive batsmen is to score quickly. He doesnt go over the top nowadays. It was all fine when Sehwag was scoring fast. No body could really analyse his decline .and nobody dared question sachins ability. But when Sehwag began to fail, his decline was exposed and injuries too didnt help.# Could you have ever imagined sachin getting out the way he did in the match against SL or could you have imagined sachin being the first victim of MONDY??
