RE:Senior might be sick!
by Ajeesh BR on Jun 25, 2007 11:07 PM
mid ur words mr suresh roy. why are u geting angry ? if they are not fit to play, there are youngsters who are ready to play for our country. why cant these "good for nothing seniors" cant sit at home and give chance to the upcoming stars ? this is not politics.
What an unfit team. Even the South Africans are coming from a hot climate. Why dont they get fever, flu and stuff like that? These Indians are chickens disguised as eagles.
By the way what is Agarkar doing in the team? How did he manage to survive the WC debacle? Ad my prediction on tuesdays match. Ganguly will not get past single digit. Tendulkar wont cross 20. Real good chickens.

Guys, the temperature in Great Britain varies on a daily basis from 10 to 10-, even though its summer time there, yet the rains make it extremely cold. South Africans are used to these conditions, as its equally alike in southern hemisphere around this time.

The day time temp is no less than 15. Our guys might have gone for night out to see women.

My question is not that it is Winter in SA now. The point is how come SA players are so fit?
RE:RE:All useless fellows are suffering from Fever and stuff
by India on Jun 25, 2007 09:04 PM
Most Indian players will fail the fitness test by SA team. So it means we are weak and we dont select physical well matained players.

Man, if you are in Ireland, you will know the weather. It will be very difficult for Asians to adjust the weather here. In Ireland the maximum temperature is 19 degrees in summer and lowest will be -4 degrees in winter, Evveryday there will be rain and when it rains the temperature drops down immediately. Mostly there will be ice rain not snow here. Just imaging the situation here. Everyone hates the weather here. Don't blame the Indian team. After spending 2 years here we all have the same situation.

What happens to U Jammu & Kashmir when you are proved wrong? Ganguly get past single digit. Tendulkar crosses 20. Any way regarding Agarkar, Power and party and Dravid knows what he is doing in the team. May be he gives good ........
Rediff, a clarification... When did Saurav become a Southpaw, "Ganguly did not play in the one-day series in South Africa and India will be looking to the experienced southpaw to give them a good start." Please clarify?
RE:RE:When did Ganguly become Southpaw?
by Satyajit Mahapatra on Jun 25, 2007 08:05 PM
There is nothing like northpaw :-) Here is how the term southpaw become popular "It is widely accepted that the term originated in the United States, in the game of baseball.[18] Ballparks are often designed so that the batter is facing east, in order that the afternoon or evening sun does not shine in his eyes. This means that left-handed pitchers are throwing from the south side. The first use of the term is credited to Finley Peter Dunne. However, the Oxford English Dictionary lists a non-baseball citation for "south paw", meaning a punch with the left hand, as early as 1848,[19] just three years after the first organized baseball game."

May be Northpaw according to this funny dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=northpaw
RE:When did Ganguly become Southpaw?
by Satyajit Mahapatra on Jun 25, 2007 08:01 PM
Left-handed people are also known as a southpaw, particularly in a sports context, and Ganguly is a lefty. If you thought Southpaw means somebody from south then work on your English first and then comment.
RE:When did Ganguly become Southpaw?
by rk lingala on Jun 25, 2007 07:55 PM
hello Mr.karthik, its pitty U doesnt know what southpaw is, it means lefthander, and Ganguly is born Lefthander.
RE:When did Ganguly become Southpaw?
by Santosh Singh on Jun 25, 2007 08:29 PM
Mr.Ringala for your info there is an interesting fact that Gangu is a born right hander and he became left hander bcoz he was using his elder brother Snehasis's kits. tough to believe but it is fact.
given the conditions;it is unlikely that iNdia will win.all the batsmen have problems facing fast and moving deliveries except Dravid. And oue bowling is just not good enough especially at the death.wont be surprised if 4-0 in Dec is followed by 3-0 this time.
RE:unlikely...
by Sanjay on Jun 25, 2007 08:09 PM
To add to your findings. India's concern is not only suseptable batting and fielding, right now it is captained by the worst captain India ever had.
RE:unlikely...
by jtsii on Jun 25, 2007 10:00 PM
Laxman is the only determined batsman who can bat for 50 overs solely on determination. He has proved it so many times and has won India several matches all over the world. Others are all heroes, idols, demigods; worship them and be happy to be sucker. Alas ! there is no Rao in the selection committee (like --kar).

hey folks...there was only one voice of accountability for our WC debacle and dats drabs. rest of the 15 odd squad have not felt asuming responsibilities themselves...if bhajji was sacked due to poor WC performance, y is not sachu sacked???this is wat power and co can do...looks like hes gonna fight with david morgan for ICC prez by the toss of coin...hope the coin has heads on both the sides and he calls tails or vice versa..

WE WILL ROCK you is an English song, so SA will sing that on the field, our team will sing HUM HONGE KAAMYAAB ::::EK DIN, don't know when this EK DIN is going to come for Indian team.
India struggled a lot in defeating Irelaand, so in the same way india will struggle to save the match from south africa, it sure, india will be defeated,

with the given weather condition what Gambhir and Ganguly did the other day was marvelous by any cricketing standard, they stood there till the last ball and never got the match run away from them. the cloud, wind did all the tricks for early and late movement of the ball...but Ganguly and Gambhir were firm as wall!

The problem is nowadays every one wants 100 to be scored in 20 balssss which is acceptable.. but when the total is small and condition not in batsmans favour have to be slow and cautious

Actually Mr Kiran was aiming a Saurav Ganguly it seems, because he maintained a strike rate of only 75, which is very high in terms of world cricket but may be low for Mr. Kiran
It may be noted, Mr Kiran seems to be the Dhoni of Galli Cricket where he maintains a strike rate of 500 scoring may be 15 of 3 or 4 balls
