Did anyone else also see that Pommie Mbangwa speaking (comentry) in Hindi on SAB TV SA vs Ireland match He is a popular English commentator in Ireland. That really came as a surprise to me
RE:Mbangwa of Zimbabwe doing hindi commentary

his first name is Mpumelelo shortened as Pommie .It appears as Pommie Mbangwa in most places like cricinfo
Over the last 24 matches that Mr. Tendulkar has played, his average has been pathetic. Against Ireland a couple of days ago, the "World's Best Batsman" was bowled for 4. When will our heads in the BCCI realise that this one-time run-making machine is now only a money-making machine. Demote him like they did with Sehwag...or better still drop him for good. He's past his prime. Its about time fresh young blood is infused into Team India. Wake up BCCI!!!

u r right anirudh. he will struggle a lot and get a 50. he will b so happy after finishing just a half century; as if he has won the world cup for him. this is some thing u can even imagine form a top class batsman who plays for his team. this fellow is playing not to lose his position in team. just for that sake.

Hope you watched the matches against WI and SA as well last time around. Best of luck to you.
Most of the players are aware of the result of the match even before they play the match.. so what should they do???? Fever and are not well to play.. what will this imply??? performance based pay will be put on hold. Same old politics in indian cricket will continue. The players will put up a fight.. the media will praise them... (without the key players the younger ones put a decent fight, the players had no coach etc..)
RE:Hey has anyone watched SA-Ireland on SAB TV....Mbangwa speaks in hindi
by MumbaiChhokra on Jun 25, 2007 11:08 PM
What ??? Now even SAB TV started telecasting cricket ??? I didnt know that ??? what a sad news for true cricket lovers..
Our cricket is now run like a politcal party as opposed to a professional sport. I gave up following cricket after India's and 0-4 drubbing against SA before the WC. I did not buy the WC (TV)package to watch it - and boy I felt good about my decision and thought I saved couple of hundreds of $$.
Cricket is not what it used to be anymore. Lets Cheer Kabaddi, Koko, Football (Soccer), Basketball etc and let these money minded people learn a lesson and play the sport as a SPORT and not like a STAGESHOW.
Speaking of money, I found this website www.bumperdollars.com. Seems they will pay the car owners in US, few bucks for carrying a bumper sticker of theirs.

RE:Mixdouble jodi of Sania & Mahesh
by Snehasish on Jun 25, 2007 09:37 PM
Yes, they can. Sania Mirza will be opening the innings with Mahesh Bhupati and Liander Paes will be the goal keeper. They can reach the Final of Wimbeldon.
It is a disgusting habit of some of our friends to start a paper war without any reason. Even cricketers are human beings and can be affected by climatic changes like we normal people. Why do we take it as something fishy?
I hope we should give them a break and if people are so disgusted at watching the game, they should stop following it. Please criticise when it is required, dont behave like the opposition party.
RE:Disgusting!!
by Snehasish on Jun 25, 2007 09:45 PM
Ji Suresh. I am reading all those nonsense stuff being written again and again. None are into facts. I appreciate your words that these armchair critics may be landed in ICU once they stop criticising and start playing themselves.
Cricket is just a game and should be taken as a game. Players are human and can make mistakes. You cant expect Sachin to score centuries every day, nor can you expect Bangladesh to lose everytime they play India.
We should be constructive in our criticisms and should always look at brighter things.

I dont see 2 good posts in a row offenly as u can see above. I believe cricket is just an another game. For indians emotions are attached unlike others. Even england(Cricket was created in this country)is doing bad consistently for so many years. We should let this politics happen because its not going to change. Emotional interferance billions of indian fans have created this complication. If people come out of this emotional game, things might change.....
