Mr.Shashank wat is the problem when they are playing themselves.when u are work in an organisation u work for salary only.not for the benefit of poor people, not even for ur organization.Cricket is an entertainment for us in india.dont think anything beyond that.cricket is not a way to show patriotism,as these bloggers telling.Saurav,Sachin have entertained us many times. So luv the entertainers.Dont make them as gods when they perform well and drown them when they are not performing.

See, any player can announce his availability. it is completely upto him and no one can question why a person is not retiring. It is BCCI who should select team thru a selection committee and they should select the team based on the priorities set by the board. Selecting a senior or junior should be done and isd being done the selection committee. So, why blame players? They can say that they can play till they are 50. BCCI is not under any obligation to select them. If they have such obligation, then it is BCCI which is to be blamed.

Are you suggesting that BCCI has to tell team management to drop him? Why can't he along with Saurav ,Dravid,Laxman & Kumble see their video & call it off? The way laxman acts every time he is bowled by incoming delivery is nothing short of a joke.He conveys an impression of having seen a ghost.

Just tell why should they? It is BCCI's job to select. If a player wishes him to be considered, then he can do so and what right we have on his personal decision. Retirement is a Personal decision and Selection is Official decision. We have no right on their personal decisions. If there is no upper age limit then again it is BCCI which has to set the ruke for the same. Tell me, if there is no upper limit for retirement in jobs do u think everyone will retire the moment they think they are no doing well?

Perform or perish is what works in private sector. Cricketers make in one year what normal mortals can't make in whole life. They can't decide anymore about their fate. The oldies of Indian cricket are destroying the charm of game by hanging on due to past track record. You are allowed to play in most sports for the current form & not for past deeds.

till a player feels himself fit for the game he does not need to announce retirement... It is bcci who has to decide on whom to select for the team... I guess Sachin can play till his 70 as long as he is fit and I am sure he will :) ..

Sachin is true magician

His magic works with bat and not wand. Its honour for him that Harry Potter waits in queue for his autograph. People should think twice before abusing Sachin or advising him to retire when these people have3 never held bat or ball in their hands. Sachin you are great.

We were waiting to see his magic during the lords test. I'm trying to remember when was the last time Sachin scroed a century that helped India out of a tight situation or help her win a test match.

Sack Ganguly from test cricket
by Notout_Naveen on Jul 24, 2007 05:58 PM  | Hide replies

Sack Ganguly..he is not worth playing test cricket.
His weaknes is already exposed and he dont have the ability to score big runs..
Yuvaraj should replace Ganguly.

Sachin is the best who can guide the younger lot...

Why is everyone out here fighting over Sachin,Saurov,Rahul. they are playing for themselves. even the other players in the team. Everybody looks at their prosperity. You guys look for your. Do your work/business and earn good money instead of wasting time & having headaches over these issues. Watch and enjoy the matches and get a good night sleep.

Saurav is atleast making some decent scores. Why are people against him still after performing. Whereas, the god makes 100's againt bangladesh and a local team in England. And all supporters of the GOD announce he has arrived. he is a useless player. I cant think of one match where single handedly took our country to victory like VVS against Australia in Calcutta. And its disappointing that VVS isnt reliable anymore. Its better to look for new players inplace of vvs and tendulkar. Of course supporters of the god will say where is the talent. When we look around we will find. Like karthik. Litterally everybody in our country play cricket. So it wont be difficult to find new talent, if we are sincere.
