For God's Sake do not bring any religion into Cricket which is devoid of any communal divide. Do not spill the venom.
MR. Shah Khan (or whoever you are) I seriously doubt whether you deliberatley posted this unwanted comment to bring in another controversy.

Dude...ever heard of Glenn McGrath or Ambrose...they were non-Muslim bowlers...i think they were too scared and in fact batsman all over the world were scared of them so religion doesnt play a part so next time get your facts straight.

We always create controversies even when there are none. isn't it? Great work Mr. Shah Khan. I congratulate you.
Being out of the country, I do not get to watch matches ,but still follow the scores. Statistics indicate Ajit Agarkar is a very useful bowler, consistent and experienced and has been head & shoulders above the much touted bowlers. However he seems to always get cold-shouldered with no support from newpaper reporters - if he takes 4 wickets and Harbhajan 2 , there will be a picture of the latter with a flashy headline. When he finishes off a side,it is "returned to get cheap wickets" - when the so-called heroes toil . The recent WI tour , he kicked butt - no other bowler came even close - of course he was sent back for the tests. Remember the worldcup is to be played in WI. Give the guy his due - a recent article on another newspaper showed his statistics are much better than any other Indian bowler in many respects ,including the over-hyped Kapil .
Lotsa politics and regionalism - in this forum too -bengalis seem to comment only abt bengal players, same for southindians - pathetic show,on and off the field.
he has no rights to pick indian team.Just remember his idiotic of getting out LBW in the crucial match against Zimbabwe. He never batted for team.He was carted all over the park by jayasurya, anwar and lot of players.India started winning only after he was dropped
RE:Prasad was never a team-man -Who is he to select?
by Krishna on Feb 07, 2007 02:28 PM
Grow up man! He is not a selector. He just gave his opinion. whats wrong with that? when we all can have our choices and can air them, why can't he do that? Do you think he should ask everyone's permission to form his opinions? I guess people have become mean.
He has had a decent International carrier for an Indian Seamer. He is articulate and a good student of the game. He has done a good job as U19 coach and is doing a fantastic job as Coach for Team Karnataka.
This guy was never any good. He always got hammered. Akram and waqar were the best bowlers in the world.
Munaf is not good, he bowls like an old man, with no passion. Irfan along with zaheer is the best indian bowlers. Sreesanth is ok, lets see how he plays against top team under pressure. Indian cricketers have always been scared but they need to be more aggressive.

good coaches need not necessarily be good players always. and BKV Prasad was a far better bowler than what his stats show and what some people think. (His stats were bad on those flat tracks. He bowled better than almost anybody on those tracks in England, SA and NZ). He always bowled his heart out (like Sreesanth) for India.. and we need someone like him to inspire people.

Friends, The 30 has the same names that we have been hearing over the last 2-3 years.Of course some names like Nehra and Balaji are mising. The 15 will not have any surprises either. It will be as predictable as ever. What are the tactical options for India? Saurav,Sehwag,Dravid,Sachin,Yuvraj,Dhoni,Pathan,Kumble,Sreesanth,Zaheer,Harbhajan
Six solid batsmen, decent all rounder in Pathan,3 seamers and 2 spinners making it 5 specialist bowlers. If this top 6 cannot win games for India, even adding another batsman to this list wont make any difference.
