by raghavacharyulu nallani on Feb 24, 2007 12:21 PM

Hey Guys,
Everybody started with the same thing during last owrld cup. But at the end the clear winner is Mandira. People started watching her at later stages of the tourney. And I am sure she is going to rock and going in enjoy a lot of fan fare during this world cup also. All the best Mandira. Please come back always and also try to put women's cricket on the prime channels with live telecast with you as the commentator or a presentor.

Unnecessary Appendage
by Indra Sengupta on Feb 24, 2007 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

This unnecessary appendage is seen quite frequently in cricketing circles, always trying
to catch attention not with her intellect, wit or cricketing knowledge but by exposing something else.
Unintelligent use of female body is
a pretty old technique resorted to by
people to sell their poems, art, literature or even products.
It is bad to repeat the technique in cricket telecasts where this diversion appears disturbing.
Let her not be seen around.
She serves no real purpose.

Please.. enough of these cheapers.. Let women be encouraged in every field without exposing.. And if its cricket.. let them talk cricket.. not exposing again.. These people are making it difficult to watch cricket with children..

Great looking forward to look at Mandira and her sarees
by claudius lazarus on Feb 24, 2007 11:35 AM  | Hide replies

Mandira is a smart and sexy lady who epitomizes the modern woman. Kudos to her that she has created a cool niche for herself in the minds of people the world over. Its her finer feminine qualities that earn her the following that she truly deserves.

For me Mandira spices up the dullest of cricket matches so while we do get excited watching last ball thrillers.....Mandira with her sheer presence makes non-events worth watching.....even though it may be just for the sarees or the way they are draped.

Mandira! all power to you lady! looking forward to looking at you and your sarees or dresses or anything!

Sony MAX... are you reading the reviews???
by vivek anand on Feb 24, 2007 11:25 AM

I think all smart experts are vanishing from the list of MAX... thats why they are harping on the Mandira only. Gone are the days when channels used to show their cricket experts on TV before any mega event in cricket.

Hey, I can bet that during last world cup people only wish to see her wearing as much less as she could in the name of "Those so-called saaris", irrespective of what she was talking about. Thats the reason, I think MAX is relying on her so much.

Some of the people said that she was symbolizing of the growing interest about cricket in women.... Bull**it... the condition of the women cricket in India is at the same place where it was used to be, four years back.
If somebody from the channel claims above, I will advice the channel to cover more n more women cricket in India n around the globe.

Apart from above Ms. Bedi comments were never enlighting.

by Prints-N-Labels on Feb 24, 2007 11:15 AM

Why mandira is going for a blouse, she can weara a traditional salwar kameez with a hair band can look decent and sober. if she is interested in wearing designer wears let take her to the stadium for the catwalk

why so much focus on Mandira ??
by Rajesh on Feb 24, 2007 11:11 AM

I am not understanding why rediff is focusing so much on mandira. I think she is a more important factor than our players for world cup.
