Since when does Mandira Bedi represent Cricket?
by on Feb 26, 2007 10:54 AM  | Hide replies

she's overly enthusiastic, loud, giggly, coy, sexy to the point of being cheap at times and I as a woman who loves cricket take great offence that a bimbette like mandira bedi has come to represent "womenfolk in cricket india". she has no clue whatsover of the game and shows no inclination to learn either. It seems that her job is more about flirting with the camera and all the cricket 'experts'. quite a shame and i wish sony would take the initiative of finding women who actually have some knowledge or are ready to learn about the game...we don't want floozies to make us look like cotton wool models.

Couldn't agree more with you ! I havent watched much of Mandira as I have been in US for last several yrs, but 3-4 occassions that I have seen of her, she sounds stupid who knows nothing about cricket and commentary and at times feel others just have to bear her for director's intent of selling the products with the help of lil skin! Mandira, you are hot but wrong profession, you look like some beauty with no brain there.
Also want to comment about Mr.Pankaj Kapoor's comment in this thread, he says " I think you should not supposed to say anything about anyone"..dude, last time we checked India was a free & democratic country, you can say anything you want, esp. this one when its true! so just chill!
Cheers,
Amit

It won't make any difference if she is going to wear a saree. How much of saree we are going to watch on the TV screen anyway? LOL Stupid conversation I think...

Mandira Bedi is highly over-rated celebrity. She does nothing, knows nothing, and yet commands a wider audience and a hefty dollar for every insipid appearance. She doesn't know anything about Cricket, except flaunt her body and make insame comments.

Oh Mandira you are absolutely gorgeous... Oh what a beauty you are... i am surely looking out for you during this world cup.. During last world cup you where the star attraction during lunch and post match sessions... many of my friends and myself also were just keen to watch you rather than matches not involving india... The style in which you wore saree during world cup was astonishing... The noodle blouse what you have named was too good... But we were rather disappointed during the champions trophy as you went for more of western dresses which doesnot suit u... In this pic also you look astonishing.. looking foward for much more this time around... Hope Mandira you won;t disappoint the cricket lovers... or i mean your lovers... Yours beauty is perfectly showed in sari's... so wear more of sari's and more of those designer blouses which shows ****... thank you and hope to see more... You are damn gorgeous and would love to do anything to be with you on a fine evening....

Does our cricket requires someone to gorgeous? When we watch cricket we needs speailized comments any cricket expert or with any one who can show skin. It seems we are short of experts. Even if we needs expert comments from a lady dont we have any lady cricketer left in our fold other that the same one. I am not aware, if she has ever played the actual cricket at any level.
Hope that one should talk serious about cricket. No silly comments on the same.

Mandira - knows nothing of cricket but if you still want to come on TV please dress properly - "Indian" dressing does not mean showing revealing clothes and body parts. - for the men who want to see women dress like her please go to FTV etc..

Go Mandira
by debangshu dey on Feb 25, 2007 07:00 AM

She has singlehandedly brought the focus of cricket to the women of India. Kudos to Mandira. Way to go girl. As for the kind of comments splashed on this message board - this is a typical doublespeak of Indian male - nursing deep desire for beautiful women while deriding them in public.

Mandira is so shameless...
by Ash on Feb 25, 2007 05:09 AM

Mandira is making a fool of herself and she is so shameless that inspite of the fact that viewers don't adore her talking about cricket she has the guts to be there once again....There cannot be anything more annoying in this world than Mandira talking abt cricket...Why cannot we have anyone from Ex-Ladies cricket team who would at least talk sense and maintain the santity of the game.....Mandira is like Krishan Kumar (Brother of Gulshan Kumar) who also had the guts to appear as "HERO" (READ ZERO) in lot of movies inspite of the fact that not even a single movie was adored by Public...

Cheers
Ash
