Till now I was under the impression that some folks don't like Sachin or Saurav in this message room. I was wrong. They don't like Indian team . What is wrong if Dhoni is batting better than Pointing? How funny%u2026.People are not able to digest the fact that an Indian is moving up in the rankings. What do you call an attitude of people who always think others (Like Ausis/SA) are superiors to Indians? One important point%u2026 In tests Ausis doesn't win mainly because of their batting. Its their Bowling power which win the battle. Its well understood that in tests Bowlers play key role and in ODI batsmen. Now lets see how many wins they%u2019ll have abroad without McGrath and Warne. They have good players but not great with our McGrath and Warne. Since bowling is getting weak, it will be interesting to see them against good batting sides. Congrats to Dhoni...Wish you good luck for WC.
if india needs to win the world cup they should work together as a team and not on individual performance and for the good interest of the game if the players stay away from commercial advertisement for few month and concentrate much on the practise money would come their way.. its just a matter of few month that in the interest of country and their people they could sacrifice this small thing.. if they win the world cup all the advt. company is going to throng their homes.... they could act then not now..
the world cup surely going to win by aussies and the runner is going to be south africans ,dont dream aginst india.see the past records of aussies and south africa and they are in good form and they play for team and not for an individula records, and indian never had been succesful in foreign soil as they were not well in bouncy track

Its not a question of demoralising. No doubt indians are peaking at right time. But Aussies and SA are consistent enough on any wickets.Saying Aussies win does not mean demoralizing us

Very good. We need some people like you to demoralize the Indian team.We are not such a bad team and on any particular day, the team that performs well, wins. Why can't it be India?West Indian wickets are very unpredictable. Why cant you stop writing comments like this.

More over wickets in WI are like indian wickets and it will definietly suit India and I am sure and confident the india can win the world cup. Surley Australia and South Africa and may be even WI are strong contendors But India is definetly in list of favourites and will Win the World Cup. Rehan

At times, I feel only Dhoni sees the other team's scoreboard while chasing. When dravid and Dhoni bat together, Dravid keeps on scratching and Dhoni keeps wiping off the scratch when he gets to strike.
But I have no hope for any team compiting with aussies. Check out ICC-ODI ranking, there are "5" aussies player in Top 10 batsmens. And "3" aussies in Top 10 bowlers list. 8 out of 11 players are already amongs the best Top 10 in the world. And better not list india ranking tho.
with the changing trend of modern day cricket now twenty twenty matches are becoming popular and we need players like sehwag, dhoni etc who can propel the score in a short time. keep the technical batsman like vvs laxman reserve for test matches. players like sehwag and dhoni are capable of winning the matches single handedly.indian cricket team need to change the captain as dravid is not so aggresive as should be. take the example of pakistan former captain imran khan he use to say to his bowlers dont worry about no balls and wides just use body line and push the batsman at the back foot once the bowlers dominates the batsman its become difficult for the other team to build or chase even moderate score. that type of aggresive behaviour should be there of the captain of indian cricket team.

u put the heading as "MODERN DAY CRICKET" but the suggestion given by you is age old adopted/used by Imran Khan. Cricket has evolved a lot since then. Dravid is not of "aggresive" types but he is a sensible and thinking captain (which is more imp in current intelligent game of cricket)...

With all due respect to Ponting and his great abilities, He has been ably supported by biased umpires like Bucknor, Darr etc. I have been watching most of his matches and ponting is very vulnerable at the start of his innings and so many times even straight forward LBW goes in his favour. Am not making comparisons but few times Sachin has got rash decisions which do affect the morale of a player who is so eager to perform in the key matches. Also ponting never faced the attack which comprised of Lee, Mcgrath, Warne, Galliespie etc. So such recognitions (like best batsman of the world !) should not be made.

PONTING IS A CLASS PLAYER.BUT IF THE TEAM DOESN'T PERFORM WHAT HAPPENS AT THAT TIME. I THINK AUSTRALIAN TEAM IS DOING GOOD AND THATS THE REASON PONTING IS NOT HAVING ANY PRESSURE AND IS GOING GOOD.

May be you should apply for the job of a third umpire ,how come the umpires are only biased towards the aussies, get real guys you just picking on them cause u know they the best team and are gonna trash India black and BLUE in the world cup.
