Very good point Najam. But we always give so much credit to batsmen in cricket and forget the poor bowlers who toil so hard in the sun and run in hard for 6 balls each over and bowl their hearts out. Cricket has become such a batsmen friendly game and all rules favour only the batsmen. If a bowler bowls 1 inch on leg side...umpire calls it a wide. If bowler bowls one ball slightly above waist of batsman, the umpire calls it wide. Even if he misses it, the square leg umpire quickly spots it and calls it. Nobody spares the bowlers. For nearly 20 overs in a match (3 power plays) in ODIs and 6 out of 20 ovs in T20s...batsmen are allowed to hit over the heads of fielders in inner circle as fielding restrictions dont allow more than 2 people on outfield/boundary. If a batsman is leaning and playing forward, umpire will never give LBW (atleast 9 out of 10 times umpire will say Not out). Batsmen is allowed to adjust sight-screen (white color background so that he can spot the red ball or black screen to spot white ball).Batsmen have pads, thigh pads, arm guards, abdomen guards, chest guards, helmet and what not to face bowlers safely and play well. But what happens if a full blood straight shot from batsman hits the bowler on his head or body.See how difficult its for bowlers in cricket. Yet we dont give them any credit.Batsmen always hog all the limelight. Be happy atleast on New Years day...some of these hardworking bowlers got the due credit. Happy New Year Enjoy :-) man.

Best Fool: Suchin Shetty.

Mr.Suchin Shetty.. Have you seen your namesake Sachin (Tendulkar) smash Shane Warne all over the parks in Australia during the earlier Tests there ? The great Warnie himself agreed that Sachin was the only batsmen in the World who gave him nightmares and sleepless nights.
Sachin could never smash the great Muralitharan like that boss. Why ? Because Murali's Magic is simply too much for any player of any calibre to play. Even Lara struggled against Murali. Anybody would. Such sharp turn and venom in his bowling. If someone bowls well and really spins the ball and takes more than 700 wickets you people become jealous & call him chucker.Murali can spin the ball on any pitch.. even in your house garden if you wish to see that. He is the greatest spinner the world has produced & I have seen him spin the ball. You will dance like a snake if he bowls to you. By the time you even wink an eyelid & bring your bat down, the ball will spin & get inside your defences. Thats Murali. Murali's spin is deadly. You cant chuck & spin at same time. Try doing it fool and watch the special prog on STAR SPORTS. All you people who call Murali chuckers, all of you who are jealous of his achievements will stay quiet. Murali is the greatest spin magician in this world & he will spin a web around you & bamboozle you.Accept it.

2 bowlers who really spin the ball (you can see the ball really spinning, deviating sharply & fooling batsmen. M.MURALITHARAN & S.WARNE.

Please comprehend before you blabber.... Muralitharan's actions does look like he chucks the ball...Thats why I don't consider him to be a bowler. I mention Shane Warne simply because his record minus India has been pretty good.

Even our Spin great Mr Bishen Bedi Singh thinks that Muralitharan chucks the ball ... Hence his comments -- Muralitharan is the best shot putter on the cricket field.

Well, from your name its clear why you have willfully closed your eyes. Zaheer took 40 wickets in 33 matches where as McGrath took just ONE LESS than him in only 20 matches.

DO NOT cloud your eyes with religion everytime.

Ask any Muslim:
Your Favorite Batsman: Waseem Jaffer
Your Favorite Bowler: Zaheer Khan/Irfan Pathan
Your Favorite Music Composer: A R Rehman
Your Favorite Actor: Salman/Shahrukh
Your Favorite Writer: Javed Akhtar
Your Aspiring sports person: Sania Mirza
and the list goes on and on....

Muslims only make their favorites, their other co religionists

You seem be suffering from verbal diarrhea. Very word Muslim makes people like you to jump in the "secular" battle field for its defiance as if you are the god appointed guardians of secularism.
Well, who are you by the way to tell me with whom I have to compare Zaheer with? It is your prerogative to set benchmarks for me?

Also, the article lists the statistics of various bowlers, and is tacitly comparing them. You advise it unwanted and unsolicited. So just Shut up!

Since I am a Muslim, and if you asked me about those questions above,. I would totally disagree with you. Don't make bogus comments. I have seen countless Muslim brothers supporting Hindu stars in India, and they are very staunch supporters.

Anyhow for your kind information:

My fav. Batsman is Sachin. I like his countless knocks against Australia in 98.
My Fav Bowler is Kumble..Sachin also consider him the best.if I am not mistaken.
Music composer..Yes..A. R. Rahman
Fav actor.. Shah rukh khan.
fav writer Javel Akhtar.
fav singer..sonu nigam.
fav actress..kajol

As you can see, I have both Muslims and Hindus in my list. Do you wanna know why? It's because I didn't see their religion to judge them but their talents..their skills.

Once again to all those who spread hate against Islam and Muslims. Do some research on Islam and Muslims. Read Qur'an from A to Z. ..not just few verses here and there. Stop spreading violence here...plz for God's sake if you believe in Him. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiv..whatever you call..
