kapildev, iam bothan, imram khan won by bowling they learnt batting after wards. remember kapil dev 128 runs electrifing immings against pakistan in his first test.

Zaheer has done fairly well. Both Zaheer & Kumble have been the bowling main stay of our test team. Kumble can walk into any team, Zaheer on his day too. If only another bowler like say Harbajan can tweak it a little better, we'll have any team including Aussies on the back foot. Well its our famed batting line up thats found wanting these days. Possibly a good opening pair who can put up 50 odd runs & our batting will then come good with Dravid & co having to play the slightly older ball. Coming to best bowler, its Shane Warne followed by Mcgarth, followed by Kumble & possibly the rest among the top will include Walsh, Akram, Kapil & Srinath. Best thrower is Murali followed by Akthar.

Zaheer's bowling is pretty inconsistent and he fails to perform on big occasions. Most of our cricketers have very poor fitness and get injured at the drop of a hat. We need a team of 22 players, so that we can at least have a good chance of fielding a proper 11-man team.
What is this ? highest wicket taker ? highest wicket taker in 6 months, highest wicket taker in 3 mopnths, a month, 15 days, week and one day???? !!!!!!
In my point of view, Positive Innings bowl/bat will be important for team rather than hitting no. of centuries or sixes or wickets.. Like pointing, lee, murlai, kumble etc. rather than thousands of run or centuries

Since Zaheer is d only baller in top ten taking most of the wickets with both red and white ball, as the conditions are almost different in test n oneday game. Hope he ll carry d same in 2008, definetely, with d improved strike rate. Sandeep

Yaar Sandeep. Sorry to say..but there is no word call baller. In cricket a person who bowls a ball is called BOWLER (Not baller). Its so strange that many of us Indians who are born watching cricket and play and see cricket almost our entire life...still make this mistake and say BALLER and BATMAN (Batman, Superman..:-). Its Batsman .. not Batman. One of my uncles also says BATMAN, BALLER. We need to learn the cricket terms yar. Dont mind. I am just telling you. ok na. Happy New Year too. Enjoy karo yar.

sandeep...chinta mat kar yaar..enjoy..maja lo cricket ka.what is is a spelling, really nothing, it's the essence which counts. palak paneer & jeera rice could not have put it better..anyways wishing you guys/gals happy healthy & prosperous 2008!!
