Key considerations: 1) Take specialists openers 2) Karthik preferred over Sehwag, as can also do wicket-keeping 3) Take extra blowler, as you need to take 20 wickets to win a game! 4) Pathan is decent at batting also. So we are having 6 1/2 batsman instead of current7, but 1 extra bowler. 5) Yuvraj is of no use as a bowler as if Kumble, Bhajji, Sourav and Tendulkar as slow bowlers cannot do anything what will Yuvi do?
We don't know for sure, whether Rajput has really said all those about Yuvi or the Aussie news paper has twisted what he has said. But he must have said something otherwise why would the media invent and write something about a particular player. Rajput is now denying what he was supposed to have said.Whatever it is ,coaches should not be allowed to voice their opinions about the players publicly. Whatever problems they face with the players, they should discuss it with the captain and concerned player in private and set everything right among themselves. This sort of news in the rival media during the tour will definitely upset the team. Rajput should know that if Yuvi denies what Rajput has said about him , what respect will he have as the coach. First of all why should the Rajput give interview to the media? In case he was asked, he shoul have talked about overall performance and not about individual player in the media, as this will bound to create ripple in the team and affect their performances. The coach's job is to coach the players, bring unity among the team and not to hog the limelight by giving useless interviews and he sould always be in the background and maintain his dignity. Hope our assistant coach will be more careful in the future. The possibility of Aussie media twisting Rajput's words to show their dislike of Yuvi for defying the umpire's decision can also not be overruled.Whatever it is Lalchand shoud be careful in future.

Madam, Rajput is the coach and when media asks him questions he has to respond. He has not gone after the media to talk about the team. You are passing negative comments on someone without even knowing what happened. You seem to be expert on media communication. Why dont you apply for this position in Indian team?
Rajput, They are dangerously skilled in that art. After all what are you going to do about it ??That's what matters!! Even, Tax issue with the players that came up during start of the tour might be part of that game plan too!!!!
I think tax issue seriously played into our players minds even nobody talking about it.

Yes...it's always the same. I think it will remain the same. No matter how big or great cricketers India produces, we will still be losing to the australians at home and abroad. In which sport, except kabaddi, can an Indian team beat the aussies ? Chess maybe. That's it. Then why cry about cricket only.

just wonder whether the Aussies are letting saurav play in the middle and score his usual 40 runs cos if he plays matches he will give about 25 runs on his own in every test and who knows about run outs. Mind you if they wanted they could have set him up any time with a bouncer and a follow yorker through Brett Lee. It always worked for other teams with a strong bowling line up. Kumble go for broke get sehwag to open, may loose then dont expect to win the way Dravid of class 1999 is batting. Sit Yuvraj cos he needs a reality check, he should be fine once he is rested and come back to his elements

ITS THE HARD FACT. There is one team on the top, and thia is, Australia. Others start their journey from the 2nd position. I think, we should call. who is the 2nd best as the ebst is always (for at elast few more years) is going to be Australia, for 1. The way they play their cricket. 2. They create winning opportunities 3. They dominate the oppsotion both mentally and on skills 4. They create standards and milestones for others to follow 5. They never give up and if they give never tamely, you can not see them showing meek and docile surrender
We have greats (SACHIN, SAURAV, DRAIVD, KUMBLE, LAXMAN) but barring Kumble others never shown that they have a collecttive wisdom to take TEAM INDIA to next level. They play individual games and achieve laurels for themselves.
INDIAN cricket fans being very low in their IQs, adore these self-performers.

Have to fully agree with Arun that Australia is way ahead of us in all departments of the game. A win against a depleted Pak side on our dead pitches is enough for our nation to go gaga over these overrated cricketers. Instead of indulging in mind games and big talk, can kumble & Co talk less and let the ball n bat do the talking to prove themselves?
