is it not surprising to anybody about sunil gavaskar's silence on the issue of icl. he had been fighting with bcci for the pay hike during his playing days.

Gavaskar was always greedy and selfish - I am sure he was fighting for more money during his playing days.

BCCI bars players from wearing Helments, Gloves, Padis and other accessories since they are worn by ICL players also. BCCI bars the user of Cricket Ball, Bat made of Willow and Stumps as the same are used by ICL players also.
but for the icl, the bcci wudnt hv increased pay of domestic players n bcci wud hv been still playing with the tactics of appeasing the top 5 players of Gr.A contract n ignoring domestic players. ultimate gainers is the players n public. icl give tough resistence to bcci's monopolistic attitude.
Congrats to everyone associated with ICL. I firmly believe BCCI was sort of monopolizing Cricket in India and it is highlight some one gave these people a run for their money. And in this tug of war between BCCI and ICL, the people who will benefit the most are the players. Just the formation of ICL has made the BCCI increase their match fees. Kudos to the ICL - we are all with you!
