BCCI,their selectors,their administrators etc.are all a group of Idiots who value the game of cricket the least.These money looting group are only bothered about their pockets getting filled.So it was very good that ICL is formed.Atleast the youngsters who play cricket at domestic level can earn a decent income.The threat from the BCCI that these players cannot play for India should be treated with disdain.Anyway these players will not be able to play for India unless they are able to have their relatives or friends or wellwishers as selectors.It would be nice for these youngsters if more groups like ICL come forward and form different groups.IF THE BCCI MEMBERS HAVE ATLEAST 1% OF SELFESTEEM THEY SHOULD RESIGN AND HANDOVER THESE POSTS TO PROFESSIONALS AND PLAYERS WHO HAVE PLAYED FOR THE COUNTRY.UNTIL THEN WE HAVE TO SUFFER FROM THESE REGIONAL BIASSED SELECTORS AND PLAYERS...

Thay dont select the sport's mens talented players thay select to fill the pockets!!!! or even more to Form a bank for themselves!!!!!!WOOOIOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!HAAAAA!!!!!!!!
BCCI needs to focus on cricket and the administration rather than going after individuals and tournaments like this.
a country of 1 bn people can have more than 1 team. let bcci select people from ICL if anybody perofrms better. let BCCI considers ICL as a tournoment like Renji Trophy or setup like County cricket
Does BCCI represent India thatthey can select whom ever thet like irrespective of the talent ?
It is the most selfish move by BCCI. what have they done for players until now? Most people dont like their children to be sportsmen because there is no career in it, thanx to agencies like BCCI
I feel creation of ICL was a opportunistic step by Subhash Chandra. After the world cup debacle, they rode on people's sentiments and announced the formation of ICL as an alternative to BCCI. Their initial motto was to create bunch of cricketers who are better than the ones in Indian cricket team.
Questions people should ask ICL : 1. How are they promoting or helping cricket ? - By chosing the players who were discarded from the Indian team. Most of the players are ones who shone once to disappoint later. Ample chance was given to Mongias and Sodhis. 2. Money is the motive - Why only cricket ? Why not other sports which don't not get the fundings. Because, Subhash Chandra realized that by putting in some money now, he can reap the big rewards later. 3. Question of Kapil Dev - What are the exceptional things he did during his stay at the helm of NCA. 4. Kiran More - Everyone remember his contribution as chairman of selectors. 5. Overseas players- All old horses who cann't be selected in their respectives on some or other grounds are queuing up.
BCCI should remain the only authority but bring it under government act to pass the benefits to the cricketers and state boards. More management initiatives should be taken at the root level.

at least, icl has been a hit during the short period even for the one who did not join icl. it is bcoz of icl threat, that the pay hike declared by bcci, (a windfall gain) for domestic players who were much ignored for the sake of star players. now even player not having ad contracts with them can proudly earn handsome amt.

Yes money is the motive... Any businessman will do the same. Here its Chandra he will venture into things where he can excel. Zee TV or DTH , Essel world ...countless.
If he venturing into cricket it will benefit cricket.
Cricketers have to play cricket.They have to play the game and ICL will produce,run & manage the show. Same like actors..
A good actor in a movie which often flops vs a good actor in big budget movie waiting for release....
If the actor is good ..packaging is world class this Movie ICL will ROCK !!!! DON vs Devdas where same actor but
ICL schedule is not even at place and BCCI has suffered heavily and running like headless chicken.What will they do if the league is a hit.BCCI has yet to capitalize on Twenty/20.
Hope some big foreign names join. Even foreign coaches likes of Steve/Mark Waugh,Akram,Younis,Desilva,Jaysuriya,Ambrose ,Walsh, Nasser Hussain,Crains,Fleming,Parore,Jonty,Donald,Gary Kirsten join...........
Why dont the BCCI outsource the 20/20 format to ICL to handle and merge or make it as its subsidary and mint money for BCCI.
If this is a HIT then soon we will have world class stadiums/facilities at outskirts of all cities.
Chandra is a businessman he will setup his infrastructure and then earn money unlike BCCI who just wants money....(now they increased money to domestic player/tournaments) shows the evil mind.They are exposed.
Did the BCCI&the players paid any taxes on their earnings so far.Now the BCCI & ICL earnings should be watched by Government and taxes to be collected.So collected taxes should be spent on sports only for all round improvment,and performance.BCCI should accept ICL and select good players to represent INDIA.At this point of time probably investing money for long term gains.In future all disgruntled cricketers will join ICL. Now the selectors should wake up and do away with their regionalism and be nationlistic to select only the best to represent INDIA.
1. Why dint they pay good before -if they can afford to pay this amount they should have paid before 2. If a player can play in England County - why can't he pay in indian tournaments (is it because it doesnot like other indians getting rich) 3. Will BCCI ban Gully cricket and Tennis ball cricket also - coz it is also popular in india.
