It has been said lot of times everywhere that current Indian ODI team (read team with Dravid, Ganguly and Sachin) is not fit for Twenty20. All the people having this opinion should actually look at South Africa and Australia's team. They play with more or less same players and win most the matches. I have recently been watching Australia Vs England 20-20 match. Its Gilchrist, Ponting and Hayden who scored most of the runs. We know their age. Finally, its a game of cricket and who plays better, will fare better. So we are picking up a team that would probably play against team of Pontings, Vaughans, Smiths etc. Its damn easy to know what would be the outcome. To score on a ball, batsmen need skills and not the brutal power/ energy. Doesn't matter if bowl was bowled in a test batch/ ODI/ 20-20. I am sure, I am not gonna watch this tournament. By the way, Yuvraj seems to be more bold/ clever/ practical person than Dhoni. To add to that, Dhoni's wicket keeping itself is sub-standard. He should give away his place to Karthik. He is better wicket keeper and a better batsman (technically). Can we send Dhoni as a test match opener on regular basis?

So the problem is fitness and not age. Am I right?
I think selectors have gone mad...i don't find any reason for ignoring Mohd. Kaif like this... They just want to completely demoralize him. How you can ignore a fit player like him in 20-20 version. He is an asset. He has been performing well in Zimbabwe tour where he is leading the side. But i am really sad that even the media is quite....I don't know what this Vengsarkar wants..why he is doing this injustice to Kaif and just killing him... Just because he does not have any godfather, he can not be treated like this. Sehwag is back...what great he has done after his exclusion that you have selected him and not Kaif.

yes selectors are really ognoring MD KAIF they are destroying his life then why they are giving hundred of chances to SEHWAG, AGARKER, SREESANATH, IRFAN PATHAN,JOGIDAR SHARMA,GAUTAM GAMBIR, ROHIT SHARMA, ROBIN UTTAHPA, GANGULY,KUMBLE PlEASE SELECT YOUNG ENERGETIC TEAM

Lets see what these new heroes do. I am sure, you would not be watching most of these matches. Scoring against Zimbabwe is not a criteria to include in a team. Even if Tendulkar plays Ranji matches now, he would score more than Badrinath etc. By your logic, he should be picked for the side. Buddy, think first and than write. Being emotinal would not help.
Did Dravid support Sachin and Ganguly when Chappel blamed them for world cup debacle?
Did Dravid support Yuvraj when selectors decided to give the vice captaincy to Dhoni?
Isnt it the responsibility of the captain to stand by his team his players.BCCI has a gag order on the players so they cant talk to media but why cant captain speak up when its required.
It seems Dravid gains more by keeping quite. Saved his captaincy after the world cup.
Everyone knows Dhoni will take time to stake claim on India's captaincy while Yuvraj was ready to take over Dravid whenever Dravid failed.

U must be really dumb to ask the question.but i will repeat for u-do u watch or read news.at anytime did u hear dravid saying watever chappel said about sachin was wrong.did u know whenever team is selected captain is consulted ?do you think dravid asked selectors y u r removing yuvraj from vice captaincy?

You need not have to have secret info to know this. Dravid is a selfish person. Never thinks beyond himself. He never protested when India's most successful captain was humiliated by that Australian Jocker. He never sounded when Sachin and Ganguly were dropped for Bangladesh ODIs on the ground of rest. He is a captain like Azharuddin who only think for himself.

I carefully noticed the body language when Dravid,Sachin and Ganguly batted in the Trent Bridge Test. They were supportive of each other.I cannot see why the board is full of Dravid baiters,Tendulkar baiters,Dada critics and viceversa. It is correct that Ganguly looks determined and is doing well.He seems to play better now than when he was captain. As for Tendulkar he is not what we are used to,but is still pretty good.Dravid also looked good in his 37.Yet we want to tear them apart.Let us cheer hem on to an Oval test win.Dravid looked very good in his handling the bowlers and the field. He deserves all the luck in the Oval Test
