i am sure india will not reach anywhere near to the WC as integrety of indian cricketers are still questainable. They are hereos just bcoz of mass support of sensless cricket fans who see them as living gods. They should learn one or two lessons from other athelets who receives megre facilities still they are determind to win at any cost.

I think India will struggle in terms of match practice and how to adjust to 20-20 cricket because it played only one 20-20 match in it's history.
Having lack of practice of playing such 20-20 matches could hurt where as all other team except pakistan has played 20-20 matchs and have specialist players to play in 20-20 cricket. BCCI doesnt have mind to think in this aspect, otherwise it shoud have arranged some 20-20 practice matches in England against strong 20-20 teams like Surray, kent.

I absolutely agree with you. India has a lot of talented cricketers which we made semi-gods who plays as individuals and not as a team. But team like Newland who dont have great players but plays like a team and finally contribute to the Team's success
0 against Bangla Desh (Bitter WC) ,29 against Bermuda (Highest Score in any ODI),0 against Srilanka (Do or Die Match in WC),91* against Bangla Desh (WoW),36 BanglaDesh (Back to form),2 Africa (Good Knock),33 Africa (pleasing the selectors),139* Africa (hurray in the England Squad),0 SA (Conditioning to the UK climate and pitch),14 SA (still the second Match) These are his ODI performance in the last 10 outings... Test 10 outings...(19,69),(9,29),(20,3),(19,5),(18,34),(47,36),(17*,51*),(0,76*),(5,DNB) 20-20 (DNB,0)..... Impressed with the Record the selectors made him the captain..
I think he was the best among the worst... or the selectors had exhausted the budget allocated for the telecon by the BCCI for coming up with a %u201CConsensus Candidate%u201D and didn%u2019t had enough money left for the telecon to go through the records ..
Consensus amongst the coalition parties%u2026. Pawar is using his experience to the perfection%u2026.. Selectors (Bunch of Jokers as Mohinder referred to them)%u2026 It%u2019s the Coalition in the air%u2026. Sonia: Indian Politics, Pawar: Cricket in India
Friends since its TEAM INDIA not INDIAN TEAM (u wud have had Arjun singh as the head hahah)%u2026.. Give them 100% Margin.. its just another corporate affair%u2026
When we want to select we go by past records and when we play we say don%u2019t go by the past... be optimistic...
There was a slight hope that India will do much better in the 20/20 after gaining some confidence so far in England. NOW THIS APE (DHONI) IS MADE CAPTAIN????????? This is going to be the end of 20/20 as well, as far as India is concerned. WHAT HAPPENED TO YUVARAJ SINGH?????? He would have been a better choice. This is another blunder mistake by the board.
RE:DHONI CAPTAIN??????????????
by Upadrasta PardhaSaradhi on Aug 08, 2007 11:23 AM
A lot of reports from previous managers have described Yuvraj as arrogant and became greater than the game. no individua is greater than game.
People are talking about Yuvi not given a chance of captain. Yuvi matured as a player not in leadership. He is indidually talent. No doubt about it.
Leadership is not based on International player or how talent on indidual.
if we compare like this how grame smith go captain then Kallis, Gibbs, Boucher ..etc. All are talent than smith in the game. When it comes to leadership, he s much better than others.
Did Dravid support Sachin and Ganguly when Chappel blamed them for world cup debacle?
Did Dravid support Yuvraj when selectors decided to give the vice captaincy to Dhoni?
Isnt it the responsibility of the captain to stand by his team his players.BCCI has a gag order on the players so they cant talk to media but why cant captain speak up when its required.
It seems Dravid gains more by keeping quite. Saved his captaincy after the world cup.
Everyone knows Dhoni will take time to stake claim on India's captaincy while Yuvraj was ready to take over Dravid whenever Dravid failed.

You are right we should support Dada. You can see one lungiwala supporting other lungi.
Why that arrogant sreesanth lungiwala is selected? I dont understand why Ranadeb Bose da is dropped he is fastest accurate swing bowler. Agressive like Dada. He alone can take 6-7 wickets of England. I hate selectors. We bengali have done maximum for India.

We Bengalis are only good at sending sluts into Bollywood....rest of us eat 'maach' and play politics in Bengal and in cricket!! All politics in the BCCI has the root in Bengal.....we will rule with our Bengali politics

Yeah all the time pushing for Dada
SO MUCH FOR HIS CAPTAINCY..
Even then we lost to Bangladesh in 2004-2005 - 2nd Match at Bangabandhu National Stadium (26/12/2004)when Gangs was there as a Captain. result: Bangladesh Won by 15 Runs Man of Match: Mortaza now Captain Ganguly India South Africa 1st IND v SAF 09/03/2000 Nehru Stad. (Kochi),India won by 3 wickets Now you can see Donald who was there in tests opted out,Clusner did not bowl but he was there in the squad. Pollock,Kallis,N Boje did not finish their quota.Cronje,Hayward, Williams,Crookes finishing rest of the overs.
2nd IND v SAF 12/03/2000 Keenan Stadium India won by 6 wickets What they are up against? same bowling despite earlier defeat. Same bowling pattern. 4th IND v SAF 17/03/2000 IPCL Sports Complex India won by 4 wickets.
What was cooking up. Did South Africa wanted themselves to loose? Inspite of being two one down in five match series. This should be do or die match for SA. Same bowling pattern. yes Real great captaincy by Ganguly and match management by Dalmia combine. He not only motivated Indian players but South African

The mere question here is how do I/we/all know that u r a bengali........all we know about u that u r someone 'by heaven', though might as well 'by hell'...no? Better do not criticize bengalis in a public domain by starting as "We Bengalis"... Do it as NON-BENGALIS, as lots of other scrapped-headed do....... be anybody from tamil telugu marathi bihari punjabi gujrai south-indian norht-indian post-inidan modern-indian and even non-indian & say whatever u want.....

U r right, FOOLS have taken over the cricket board from president, general secretary, they look like "CHAMAR". In one day cricket, fielding means a lot , if u take catches do runouts effectively, u can win matches. Really, disappointed for KAIF, he is such a good energetic fielder and a middle order batsman, board could have consider him for ODI & Twenty-Twenty. I think KAIF should be given a place in Test also cos he is a good & lethal fielder in shorts. Till the last test match, his batting average was supereb should be given a chance in place of JAFFER & LAXMAN cos both are lazy with bat and in field.............
he has been punished for supporting sachin in the fight versus cappel...i bet dravid has been supporting dhoni all along....there is no other reason why dhoni has been made captain instead of yuvi...yuvraj is a much better and intelligent player than dhoni..thats what happens when politicians run the game..sad

What u have said is right. But Board is giving importance to Chappels report on World Cup. Where he described Yuvraj as arrogant and thinks himself as very big & talented player than he really was and does not listen to seniors or coach and thinks himself that he was in same league as to Dravid, Sachin, Ganguly. Board on the otherhand follows chappels report blindly without ascertaining the truth.

Yuvraj has proved himself by playing in Australia,SA,NZ,WI and England.Whereas Dhoni has played only in sub continent. In SA and WI he was a flop.Lets see what he does in England. I'm sure had he flopped in Lord's he would not have been the captain of 20-20 WC.I see here people blaming Captain for his selection as captain. What has he got to do with the selection of Captaincy, he is not even playing in that tournament. So I think selectors should be blamed for this decision.Selectors do not always listen to the captian.
RE:yuvi has been punished
