They bowled attrociously and gave the Windies gifts and no excuse this time. Time Rahul Dravid is asked to answer the charge for selecting these losers time and again. Call it what you like, India needs to admonish Rahul and Chappel, before it is too late.

So much for youth and experimentation. Even after a year being together, this team cant even beat West Indies lying low just above zimbabwe and bangladesh.
Hehehehe... what a joke. It is in such conditions that a Captain and coach has to inject enthu and positivity within the team members. Can they do it??? I doubt.
They were successful before not because, they had the desire to succeed, but because they were all against Ganguly. Now that Ganguly has successfully doomed himself by not working hard at his game, they know they dont have to fear his inclusion.
Nothing for Ganguly here, just the analysis of politics being played here at the cost of people's hard earned money.
Please dont tell me Ganguly never won against Australia, none of the other 9 teams playing in the world have a recent high rate of success against Australia, so forget it.
But West Indies?? Losing 6 out of the last 7 games played and the 7th being abandoned because of rain??

Bye Bye Champions Trophy and bye bye World Cup.

Windies squeak into semis

Windies are a tough and talented team, and can get the job done when put their minds to it. But trying to beat Australia would be even harder - India might as well count themselves out of the competition - not even a miracle can help them now.

Indian Team - Fair Chance
by Ganesh Rao on Oct 27, 2006 12:35 AM

Sehwag has failed again.......I feel Ganguly should be given a Fair Chance too....if Sehwag can be given why not Ganguly...??????

This is very very unfair......the selectors should not treat Sourav this way......afterall he our X-Captain...the most successful one...till date.....

I feel Ganguly would click and get the confidence back......if selected......

India vs WI
by Udai Agarwal on Oct 27, 2006 12:24 AM

I just heard Ravi Shastri's comments on audio at the cricinfo website. He was 110% correct. Yes, 110. Mistakes made: Choosing RP Singh instead of Powar and the actual batting. Sehwag, and I have said this before also, if he doesn't get India to a good start and rely on Sachin or Dravid, he will lose his place! Also, having Raina is a waste I think! At least Moh'd Kaif can be a good candidate to do some hitting. Raina was just a defensive clown in front of the crowd. It just amazes me what exactly is wrong in batting? No boundary for 12 overs is just ridiculous. ALSO, I heard on zee news how much Greg Chappell is frustrated on there performances. Greg said to them clearly on their face that indian team talks more and works less. He warned them that there are thousands of cricketers waiting to get in. For this game, their is absolutely no need to blame the pitch or dew. These factors are already known and they should be used to it since its their own country. I can simply have a dream come true if India wins against Australia.

Good show

I am really very sad about today result.
BCCI taken decision to sent Ganguly out since one position being wasted under his captaincy, now all 11 positions are getting wasted under Dravid ; especially current coo00ch.

However we should appreciate Dravid and Chappelâs consistency on match results.

Nothing else to sayâ¦â¦

India-WI

The result is on expected line. Indian team has a number of paper tigers, shying away when they need to perform to the best of their ability. Selectors also do not have any measure of the capacity of players and the winning combination. Four seamers, Munaf Patel, Ajit Agarkar, Irfan Pathan and R.P. Singh and just one genuine spinner Harbhajan! It is a crunch game and a team with a real chance of winning should have been played. Only Dhoni showed some maturity. Sad! Now India is almost out of the champions trophy.

Poor Indians do not know how take advantage of home turf!
