WI vs Ind 4th OD
by dev on May 27, 2006 10:36 AM

So, first India's record number of undefeated sequence had come to a halt and then a series loss to an opponent, not really high up in the rank. The air is gradually leaking from the balloon and anyone young coming to the team becoming an instant star is also not happening outside sub-continent. Now waiting for the test-series to see this team's performance. Chappell and More will soon realize that it won't be not so easy to implement their wishes in the name of "building a young team", and select and axe whoever they want, when things will go wrong. The uncomfortable questions will start to rise.

ODI Series

Dear Sir,
Please tell Chappel and MORE to feel the reality. Victimising certain player will definitely lead to this way only. The pair should immediately be thrwon out of the country. iI mentioned this downfal in my previous reaction too. This pair is not interested to protect the PRIDE of INDIA. They only know and concerned about their own business. BCCI should interfare and force the experienced players like Ganguly back in the team. They will , otherwise, feel proud to loose the test series as well. You need to think about cricket not the politics and business. Unfortunately, we are allowing this thing for the benefit of Chappel and MORE only. Better give some financial benefit and throw them out.
Regards,
Sujit

Its the overseas monster

The reason the team will face brickbacks and for good reason too is that the last few victories that you hail so eloquently have been in the subcontinent.
Away from home it has always been a different story till a unorthodox , waering his heart on the sleeve lad , took over the team and changed it forever. I forget his name , hardly hear of him anymore.
But now we are back to where we were.
This team may still win but it is not because of the new coaching tactics but because of the spirit infused in the team a few years back

ridiculous umpiring
by Manish Behl on May 27, 2006 06:09 AM

why should an umpire not give out to a batsman when he is just on crease after the dismissal of the previous batsman, e.g. in the case of W.I. when Samules was given out LBW and on the next ball sarwan was plumed out LBW but the umpire hasn't given it... it might have changed the match at that time due to pressure on the W.I. I dont understand why... what's the reason behind it. i have seen this a lot of times. isn't the umpires are not confident with their decisions which they have made to a previous batsman then what are they thinking of in the just next ball. why the umpires are in pressure of their own decisions. i have seen a lot of matches where these umpires have done very wrong things... and they have exploited the matches by giving either wrong decisions at some stages or by not giving the right decisions. why this is happening.

Windies Clinch One Day Series

It is high time that we throw Greg Chappel out of the team. After he took over as a coach, it was only individual brilliance on which the team won few matches otherwise the performance has worsened. No regular openers are there. The experiments have sometimes clicked while at many occasions it has backfired. It is miserable to send Dravid as an opener.Sehwag continues to be in the team despite his bad form.Adamant attitude of the coach not to have Ganguly back, cost us many matches.IF the Indian citizen wants that Ganguly should be brought back to add experience to the team who is Greg Chappel to bring his ego in between and deprive us of a good batsman? Enough of so called young blood. We know this so called young blooded team have a long way to go and one cannot rely on their experience to win the world cup.The team is faring very badly and I see no reason why Greg should be asked to pack his bag.We are also losing Dravid as a batsman by bringing him as an opener.Ajit Agarkar is in the team without any performance. The selectors perhaps find him as the most valuable player. The youngsters lack the courage, skill and experience to play in the team.

WI ODI series loss
by Rajib on May 27, 2006 04:42 AM

Our team had a wonderful run - but all of that came on subcontinent wickets. Whether or not Greg has really morphed the team into a winning combination can only be proved when we win outside - WI, SA, NZ or Down Under. At the first opportunity to prove that, we stumbled - not a very good sign for a team, does it? Especially if we consider that the venue is where WC will take place within a few months? Sure such things can happen but Greg has to prove that he is really worth what everyone thinks he is worth. An egoist talking straight is one thing, walking the talk is another.
