1st Test match between India S.Africa
by Raj on Dec 17, 2006 01:16 PM

Good day everyone, surprisingly every time I switch on Tv news channel everyone is singing praises of Ganguly.Even Aaj Tak channel gone to the extent of showing an old interveiw of Ganguly when he was a captain.Something terribly wrong with our media. What so great Mr Ganguly has done.
Seems people are not watching England australia series then they will understand what is professioal approach and what is cricket.
Just because Ganguly scores 50 in 1st out its a great comebaqck of the century.Tendulkar does not score a century then run him down on every news channel as if he has contracted with BCCVI tpo score a century every match.
Totally irrelevant ! ridiculous behaviour of our media and their newfound freedom of making any news without any base or fact.
Indian bowler Sreshant did a grand job but Sehwag thought why not to screw the happiness of everyone and has decided not to score as nobody can kick him out I wonder why!He should be back at his village at Najafgarh tending to his bufalows & cows.
BCCI pL open ur eyes and take a positive action. We have many other openers who can score and stay on the wicket for some time.
But sir I am sure Indian media is screwed up totally.

gangulys return
by satyakam on Dec 17, 2006 12:55 PM

kudos to saurav ganguly who has rightly earned his place in the indian team. His half century is proof enough that he still has the hunger for runs, and the skill that are required at this level of the sport.
He is an ideal example for youngsters today, even after facing such harsh adversities,he has risen to the occassion and how?
best of luck ganguly

Obviously, Deephi has some difficulty in following cricket or in expressing herself clearly . Ntini was out bowled. To say "Kumble trapped Ntini in front of the wickets with a flatter, faster next delivery" gives the impression that Ntini was out lbw.

Mistake in the article...
by hash on Dec 17, 2006 10:16 AM

The article says that Kallis was plumb in front when the umpire Darryll Harper turned down the LBW appeal by Zaheer Khan. In fact there was a clear inside edge, before hitting the pads, which was evident from the replays. So it was a great decision by the umpire.

Nice to see our guys on top in what has been a dismal tour thus far.Another hundred runs and we should be in the drivers seat.

Is Ganguly Good Enough?
by AniC on Dec 17, 2006 09:16 AM

So, looking at the scores in the two Innigns, the question to ask is, Is Gangluy's return to the team worth it? Or should he be dropped in the second test and a "Youngster" be called back?
Any thoughts?

The perfomance of India clearly suggests that if talented youngsters were give a place in the team then India can give a best perfomance anywhere in the world.

Where do you say?
by Rana on Dec 17, 2006 05:18 AM

Where is Mr Kiran More? I would like to ask him, when they thought of looking forward, how come these old guns Ganguly, Laxman, Kumble and Zaheer are back? and Mr Chappell, a question for you too. So what do you feel? do you really feel Ganguly can play cricket?
