Where do you say?
by Rana on Dec 17, 2006 05:18 AM

Where is Mr Kiran More? I would like to ask him, when they thought of looking forward, how come these old guns Ganguly, Laxman, Kumble and Zaheer are back? and Mr Chappell, a question for you too. So what do you feel? do you really feel Ganguly can play cricket?

Team India 's return
by S.Mohan on Dec 17, 2006 01:30 AM

Nice to see team india returns to form. Thanks to sachin's 44 and dravid's 32 which helped team to avoid more collapse. Sweet 28 by laxman and 51 by Dada ganguly and VRV singh's knock helped good total in this pitch. Sreeshanth's fiery 5 wickets put India in driver's seat. Really feeling nice after these people's contribution. Still some more to come. Team India has to catch the rope to climb higher and higher.

Return of the Prince

Leave aside Chappel, where have those two men gone, the Jumping-Tennis-Ball-Behind-The Wicket Ex-Chief selector and the Sermon-Preacher-Great-Grand-Father Raj Singh?
We like to hear from the two again.

At last something to cheer about
by jyoti kanungo on Dec 16, 2006 11:30 PM

Our bowlers have finally nailed South Africans. Earlier the underrated bowlers had cast a spell on them but let them off the hook due to inexperience. With Munaf in reserve, our pace bowlers are certainly emerging as world beaters with Kumble as back-up.The team management must allow them to launch their blistering pace and use them in short spells and rotate them. Our famed batting line-up is not exactly in form but they have shown rare application on a treachery wicket. The constant bashing by media has its effect. The media must not overhype the probable maiden victory in South Africa which can now only be denied to them by weather. Indian team must build up from here to World Cup.They must not allow South Africans to come back.

Kumble trapped Ntini in front of the wickets with a flatter, faster delivery. - Ntini was bowled

Makhaya Ntini's wicket
by Jayaram on Dec 16, 2006 11:13 PM

I would like to correct you by saying that Makhaya NTini was not LBW but was clean bowled by Anil Kumble in the test match. You have mentioned he was LBW. Please correct this gross mistake. As a reporter you should atleast make sure you get the news correct before publishing it.

Mistake!
by Ashish on Dec 16, 2006 11:11 PM

"India were denied a huge scalp, when umpire Daryl Harper turned down a confident shout for lbw against Kallis. Zaheer got the ball to straighten from middle and off and hit the back leg plumb in front of the stumps, but the umpire ruled in favour of the batsmen" --

There was an inside edge! Shown clearly in super slo-mo after the 2 fours. Even the commentators agreed.

Ganguly has proved his class!!
by kool on Dec 16, 2006 11:09 PM

Ganguly has proved again that form is temporary but class is permanent. When everybody else was too scared to take on the South African pace battery,he showed what a character he is and reminded of the old rusty days when India beat the mighty Australians. Its after all a matter of confidence and character. And those who were going all out against him have to admit he is back in the game

Salute the Leader
by Faceless Spirit on Dec 16, 2006 06:23 PM

Look how the Leader makes the difference, by his mere presence.
And you guys went after his blood and made the dry mouthed schoolboy his successor??

Where is that jumping -tennis -ball-behind-the-wicket gone.
The shameless goat like smiling buffoon invented reasons one after another to keep the hero out of reckoning.
Now you brainless unimaginative narrow shabby parochial countrymen, accept your defeat. Salute the Leader. Admit the mistake.
