just one match cannot prove Ganguly. if palys in all matches then is suitable for one day match. Dravid is definetly great wall... only time tells ... ganguly will fail again. Ganguly will feel shame for himself.
And our guys have been playing non stop. And the kind of rest they have been getting is strange and is not warranted like the 10 day break in the ICC championship trophy. Ganguly is well rested and just came expecting what everyone thought and hence he was successful. Ganguly performed worse than "galli" cricket level when was stripped off his captaincy and his player role because when people R performing at a far better par why should he be sustained. I know ganguly fans question sachin, but why should you at all. His century in malaysia is one of the rare among the entire team and his 50 against SA is also the same. All our Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly needs is a good game. A game where they hit their straps and play some pulls, cuts and cream glorious cover drives and they will be back at it. Our bowling is too too too good. But remians to be seen if we are so good to stop kallis, and Smith coz rest of them are no match to the wits of our bowlers. Dravid needs to take a deep breath and also play a breath-taking innings. A 100 at the cost of a day is a great effort. Ganguly should play for his own 100 and Sachin just needs to hang on for a day and India will win not draw.
i agree..indian team now looking for win once ganguly is back.he is the best..we have to take on the world..i hope they dont miss him.give him confidence ,he will give you the aggression..which is sorely lacking in this indian team!

The layoff hopefully would change his style and make him for friendly to fellow players, He was manipulative, acted standoffish and was not a good leader at all after some time. Chappel has been right.

ur right my friend....i dont have any doubt that dravid is not a good batsmen, he is an amazingly talented test batsman, he has the patience which reflects on his game. But i am afraid a captain needs much more than just mere patience on the field. He seriously lacks the agressiveness, the killer instinct to make the team win matches...

By far Saurav is better captain than Dravid.
It seems like a plan to remove Ganguly from captancy and make Dravid captain. It was all well planned to remove Ganguly permanently but thanks to the team for showing that without Ganguly they cannot win, even Sachin cannot perform. The opening slot is meant for Sachin and Ganguly.
Thanks to the selection committee that they have selected Ganguly again. It is not possible for Dravid to make India victorius by his ways and means. Dravid is not a match winner nor has the ability to take quick decisions.
One more thing we saw during the match, at all important junctions Ganguly use to take the opinion/suggestions of Sachin. He took advantage of Sachin's experience but in case of Dravid we never find him asking Sachin for any suggestion.

It is stupid to give comments of this type. Ganguly, when made a 'chugli' against Laxman in Zimbabe, lost the moral power to lead a team. Making a few runs here and there (now he makes Zero in the 2nd innings !)is not that one expects of a good player. One needs to be a part and parcel of a team in an integrated manner. K. Mallick

It would be nice to c u improving ur english before you send in your next comment. It is terrible to read what you write. My dear, ganguly's real test will start when he starts playing the tests. It is amply clear of his abilities to see him score a duck in his second inning. So stop blowing the trumpet for Mr Ganguly. Wait and watch.

This guy must be from Kolkata. When we guys will think over from the state and think for our country not just the state reagarless of religon catse and culture. No Doubt Ganguly was a great player in past, we cannotbeat around the past. Aaammir khan delivered a very good dialouge in Rang Day Basanti i.e. We indians have one leg inpast and one in future and we always piss on our present which is so true . Wars cannnot be won by your glorious past and what you can do in futyre , they are win by your present. What Dravid can do if these top order players cannot perform . Look at sehwags , tendulkar , laxman records and at the same time look our tailenders like pathan , dhoni , even harbhajan when they can rock with their bat then why the bloody hell these top notch cannt . They should learn from our tailenders. As far as dravid captincy is concerned, he always have delivered when india is inneed and he had proved his captincy by winning may nmatches. Just by one or two series you cannot rate him as a good or bad captain . Give him some time to grrom as well as to our tailenders who arre playing better than tops. so my dear friend think of india not of ur state, get over it.
