The previous committee had the advice of doping expert. I am quite surprised how the ban has been overturned. But still Pakistan can make the difference without Akhtar and Asif as they showed in the recent series against the West Indies.

Ban on Shoaib and Asif
by ajay on Dec 05, 2006 05:38 PM

After the decision of lifting of Ban, it seems that there must be some hand behind this issue who didn't want these tow to play the Champions Trophy and lead the pakistan to victory, and hence this has been schedule and PCB has banned these two bowlers.

There is no doubt about the telant of both of these bowlers and capable to change the direction of match. But after this it seems that Pakinstan would be the another strong contestent for WC 2007 after Australia, South Africa.

We can not copnsider INDIA looking to the current performance. But there are another who may lift the world Cup 2007, West Indies ( with home Ground advantage) Englend and Srilanka.

So this decision is advantageous to pakistan Cricket but now its up to Board to recall them for the current series and prove their abilities.

But my friend, don't you think it is wrong to take drugs? I don't think an educated doctor would give steroids to a player, and especially which are banned by PCB or ICC.

Dear Mr. Ali,

Look at the doctors are produced in Pakistan. Who does not know the banned drugs? Or trying to make another false story. Anyway we also like Shoib as crickter but that does not mean, we should also like drugs. Come on try to accept the truth.

Dear Friend,
We indians are not afraid of Shoaib or Asif, but you would see a lot of fans of these big guns here in india. As bollywood actors are appriciated in Pakistan so are Pakistani Fast Bowlers appriciated in India. So be positive..
Regards..

Oh really?? We are afraid of pakis thats why we beat them 4-1 in their home soil.
Who wouldnt be afraid of a chucker who's on drugs? And btw, it was the Pakistani team who acted like cowards when they refused to take the field in the Oval test, inspite of having doped bowlers.
You get your facts right, pakis tempered with the ball then (which btw they have done sooooo many time), and their bowlers doped for the champions trouphy

Shoab is their trump card for the coming world cup, atleast they think so! I am happy for Shoab and Asif. It would be a shame not see Tendulkars and Akthars in action at the world cup.

Seems like this is a good time for making a come back! A week ago Ganguly, Laxaman and now Shoab!

Nice turn of events
by Vinid on Dec 05, 2006 04:19 PM

Wow How motivating!!!The PCB initially ordered a quick ban on the guys and acquired a special respect in the cricketing circles and then this back rolling!! This is the height of dirty politics just to get some cheap publicity at the expense of players. i don't know how performance enhancing the drugs are but this really shows a sort of bias towards other sports and i hope to god that other sportsmen are not inspired to follow on the footsteps of these two..
