I really say that Sachin Tendulkar is a Special Cricketer of team India. You have seen that whenever Sachin was not played in the match,the Team India's score was below 270(neglecting some expectation).
Reading this article is a waste of time I must say the rediff used to be sincere in the past. Now what it does is post sensational news header to grap attention, and thats sick. Regarding David Gowers article, its the same old story. My question is , if I have a diamond buried deep under the ground, is it of any use to me. So Sachin may be great to him(probably because off late he has stopped scoring runs), but he is no good than kaif or sehwag at present. We need batsmen scoring good runs consistently, by that I mean in atleast 10-15 matches without fail to talk about their greatness.
all r expresed thought when he was not in good touch. and played 16 yr cricket.he have many injuries (plz recall from back problem when he played one of the best inning in chennai).today we rate him on the basic of todays cricketer. but he serve india when no one there. he is only match winner.think if harbhajan not there can india win at eden garden(laximan 281). if agarkar not take wicket can india make recorded win in australia(dravid 233. but people rate him one the basic of todays situation i think today we have many match winner. and dravid, laximan, yuvi are same time performing good. but when sachin performing well(1992-1999). no one to support him.then als he WIN 50 MAN OF THE MATCH award. i ask quation rate these 50 matches only with other any indian. and analise how many matches he won for india out of he played and how many other won. i think if he won 50 man of the match award mean he win minimum 50 match for india. my quation is is any one win more than this?. absulitly no then why people raising quation about him when he have going through injuries(witch part of body remain without injury?).i not telling he is special but obuasly great than people who booed him.

Sachin is great not because of his records, but because of his overall personality. He is great in dealing with peers & Juniors. It's not a secreat that he has all the shots of cricket with him, which is also proved with his records. And the most important thing, after 17 yrs of international cricket, we are not getting any other person to talk about. Isn't it a sign of a great player? You are still compairing him with anybody and everybody in cricket. As indian, we should be proud of Sachin, which is making entire world proud (See Grower / Don Bradman / Shane Warne / Brian Lara / Akram etc.... everybody appreciate greatness of this little master, and we indian are talking about WHEN he should retire???)
Come on guys ! quit the abstract(IMPULSIVE) and FACE reality!!!
NO ONE IS SPECIAL!! If there is , then it has to be blind, deaf ...and also dumb!!
Laden is also special...along with saddam , Hitler, etc., depends on which side the supporters are and their mental/social/logical/sensible/sane state/ status.
SPECIAL is for LIFE, not momentary. If I did a good thing 20 yrs ago, it doesnt make me GOD!!!
If you say "special" then i presume you know the mweaning and the qualification of the word. I also presume that they are educated and hence 'use' the word intelligently; unlike a parrot!!!
Special means through-out, consistant, unique, absolute, eternal....not sporadic, seasonal, erratic, hapazard, waxing n waning, impulsive , calculative...etc.,
It does not mean selfish, step-on-toes, indifferent, self-centred, selectively successful( subject to personal GAINS) and delibrately unsuccessful, subject to lack of useful purpose( personal).
If we consider sporadic successes as "special:" then we should attribute 'special" to millions of scoundrels and scalawags......they may have done a good thing, ONLY ONCE in their entire life-time.
Please don't use misleading headings to grab attention of users and get clicks. Such practice will only bring bad repute to your portal. In this article, though there was little talk of Sachin, you used "Sachin is special". That was ridiculous.
with reference to the article, 'Sachin is special', David Gower forgot to mention a few names -like Viv Richards, S.Gavasker, Gary Sobers, when it came to batting prowess. In my opinion Sachin has been in the list of all time greats when we talk about elegance, style and of course prolificity in run getting.
