Amarnath it is high time!!
by George Thaliath on May 25, 2005 04:27 AM

Amarnath should understand that this is the time where technology plays a crucial role in coaching. If he cannot make a computer presentation for himself how can he use the new tech involved in sports? It is high time he upgrade himself into a tech coach

sour graes????????
by kally on May 25, 2005 12:15 AM

is this yet another case of sour grapes? surely he didnt sound too convincing in his ways when he was a part of the presentation team for DD1 during the recent indo-pak series. and am pretty sure greg chappel has his own ideas which might have impressed the comittee. good luck in the future jimmy........

About Amarnath's comment on Coach selection.
by D. K. Paul on May 25, 2005 12:15 AM

I do not think it necessary for any selection board to intimate the selection result to the candidates not selected.

is amarnath worth
by coolstuff on May 24, 2005 11:33 PM

in the last series of indo pak in india in one of the onedayers Mr.Amarnath was in full prraise of INZY and he said he would like to sing a song for Mr.INZY with luv form Islslamabad where he even sang in the show of fourth umpire and he was in total praise of other team players and degrading our own team how pathetic it is that tooo when we play with pak I feel BCCI has done a grt8 job by not selecting AMARNATH AS COACH, and no other coaches or reviewers do this type of things as AMarnath did its shame on his part

Dear amarnath,
By saying so many thing.. you have big mouth, and therefore you lost respect. Thats why you were not selected.
And it great idea to have foreign coach. Because there are lost of chances to have partialty in everything..

bunch of jokers.
by ashok on May 24, 2005 11:16 PM

how can we forget "those bunch of jokers". I think they have not still forgotten your statement, dear jimmy. this is just a thought but if indian mentality is considered, you will have to look to some other country for this job, as you do not have a chance with this board, because of your harsh haryanvi toungue. you should have learnt from some gujarati who always says bitter things with sweet toungue.

Grow up Mr Amarnath
by Puneet Srivastava on May 24, 2005 11:08 PM

It is whining and more whinning from Mr Amarnath. As a player he had some respect but even there what has he done besides being good at two matches and hooking even if there was a trap laid out for him. And what a mockery he made of himself with that fair and lovely comment. Talk of insensitivity, and he was suppose to be talking to the press. Indian cricket could have been an embarassing lot under him.

And why should the board be responsible to inform him. I guess Mr Amarnath is a pampered lad, and does not know how the whole wide world operates. Did'nt they made the announcement to the press and all he had to do was add 2 and 2 together. And what is wrong to be impressed with a presentation, just shows how prepared Chappell was for the job. Also did'nt he fiddled with his laptop for hours and delayed the process itself to put together a presentation. Case of too litle, too late. Looks like he would have run the team too like that instead of using proven scientific methods. Wonder why he was shortlisted ahead of Gaekwad, Wadekar. It is a relief that he was not selected, because he would have bought the superstar culture back. This is the best decision BCCI made in ages.
