by ajay uniyal on May 26, 2005 11:54 AM

I Congrats to greg chappel congrats to BCCI also he appointing Greg chappel as Indian cricket coach. no doubt ,greg ability. he is one of the great cricket coach ,I, am not agree with chappel tendulker may not regain earlier form because sachin tendulker played cricket last 15 years every years sachin played a best cricket ,last 15 years sachin played continuous best form. in between he played loft greatest inngs, sachin is the strength of Indian cricket his class his value to the team. currently and for the future is never in doubt. he have a good record test and one day cricket.
Sachin 15k runs in one day cricket and 13k runs in test cricket. I agree. In last two years sachin play cricket not a good form. But sachin is different type cricketer. He is definitely come back.

Creating controversy
by Samir on May 23, 2005 10:27 PM

It is totally misrepresenting to see Rediff make a controversy about a statement that has to be true ... all Greg Chappell said was that over someones career, their style will change -- and Sachin is no exception.

Sachin -- his class and his value to the team -- currently and for the future is never in doubt -- not for Chappell and not for the fans. Shame on Rediff and the other media outlets for mis-characterizing a new coach and starting him off on the wrong foot.

why will he not regain his form?
by Raghavendra PRASAD on May 23, 2005 12:30 PM

There is no question regarding his form.He is still playing very well. But he hasnt been consistent as he was earlier.previously he used to score one hundred in every four matches.but now he is scoring in six matches. He has been among runs in every match.though he got a ton agnstpak we lost the game.

Reading Between the Lines
by Sudarshan on May 23, 2005 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

Hi,

I've been an avid reader of Rediff articles for a long time now. Frankly, this article needs to draw a line between what has been said and what is interpreted. Such as in this case - "Sachin may not reach his dizzying heights of the 90's" with "Sachin may not regain form" is utterly deplorable. What a disappointment from Rediff!

Very well put.
The indian media is the worst of all when it comes to hypocrisy... They hear something.. talk something... and publish altogether something different...

All in all, it has become a instrument to present to the people some gossip... It is very sad that every information is doctored to be marketed..

Looks like the media has taken us for granted.. Whatever nonsense they publish we are supposed to digest..

So much for ethical journalism..
