Alas!!!one more imported coach!!!The main thing team India lacks is self determination and hunger to win ..Coach is not a God...Miracle will happen when all Indian players will coach themselves.
First of all i would like to congratulate Mr.Greg Chappell on becoming the coach of Indian Cricket Team and welcome him to India. I have always felt he should have been the choice 5 years ago because he is the one with an intellectual CRICKET MIND,has been a brilliant captain, batsman, and more importantly a motivator. And I give BCCI the credit for selecting him as our coach.I am sure Greg will be able to make a lasting impression on the team which has the potential but lacks the killer instinct.I hope that Greg is given the allowed freedom of expression during team selections which I think was one thing absent during Wright's tenure.I finally wish Mr.Greg all success and haapy days in India as a coach and a guest.
Congratulations to Greg Chapell for not becoming only the coach but also in his first assignment....Handling Indian Media....!!!Now that the coach has been decided, the focus must shift to who should be the next captain...???Dravid or Kaif..??Banned or not banned does Saurav deserve a place in the team...???These are the next questions that should occupy the selectors, board officials, media, former players...and above all the general public....!!!
Actually only Chappell and Moody were in the race and board took a very pleasing decision to go with Chappell. He has very logical and practical approach and we hope he will take India cricket to next level. We wish him all the very best. Looking forward for future series.
No doubt this is the best choice regarding Chappel's appointment.Though the panel's decision seems to be on expected line, it must be a professional selection by the panel giving due consideration to other candidates. There is a huge expectations from the Team India and Chappel knows that well.He has to shoulder the burden of meeting the high demands of crazy Indian fans and also give justice to his potentials. We wish him best of luck.
Oh again a phirangi to coach us in what we are the best!!! aare yaar politics. aaur kyaa. BTW Mr. GREAT CHAPPAL (may we say sory?) may be useful, may not be, who cares. We had spent the money already now. What is required is young talent to be groomed and that is the only thing a successful coach can be measured with.....let us see how many young talents become stars...2007 is not a long way !!!
