Where is Ganguly, please bring him back into the squad, he is our star player in your side. Yup! i'm a pakistani and i say we want him back in the side ...!
I am amazed that ,we the cricket fans of India, are still watching this Team India play! I,for one, stopped watching this series after 3rd ODI.Various reasons has been expounded and one thing stands out - there is no accountablity - like any other spheres of Indian life!Part of the blame should rest on us-the fans!
As long as we pay obscene amount of money to watch this team and indirectly pay their fat cheques ,they are going to carry on like this!
It is time the fans had a say.Obviously we cannot influence selectors but we can hit where it hurts them most -financially.If the fans stay away from the grounds ,it is a start. We can demand accountability as we are paying.
So fellow Indians and cricket fans,it is time the "professionals" had a taste of their own medicines.Let us protest and stay away from grounds, write to sponsors that we will be boycotting products endorsed by these individuals - it sounds idelaistic but it can be done-all we need is unity !
I feel that Indo-Pak seies are all played outside the field rather than on the field. When we went there we won the one day as well as the test series. Atleast we shld be proud of our stars that they did not give the test series as a gift. May be it was fixed to be a draw.
Pak came from 2 -0 to win series 2-4, good show by there guys.
Our paper tigers failed again, any they are used to it. Its high time sachin retires from international cricket gracefully, I hope his class of master will understand it.
Looking to the performance of our present Indian Cricket team, dont you think they should be charged penalty 100% of their match fees.
They are all professionals and take a huge amount of money by just their presence in the field by doing that only our nation would get to see some good performances from our so called heros (although they comes back within 10 minutes to the dressing room by getting out).
Hope you would understand the seriousness of the problem and would take necessary steps in order to rectify the system.
So a very shameful result for India, but cannot say it is not expected. The way Pak has turned- around after initial 2 defeats are remarkable.
Also It is a lessen to learn for India. Rather than weeping on the defeat, I should say Indian team management should take this as an opportunity for selfanalysis. Just 1 year back, Pak was at the same spot where India is now. All were praising our team & considering the worldcup runner-ups are still at their best form. Indian team, as usual was sitting on their past glory but during the past one year, Pak has beat India in more occassions. So a real come back for that team.
Worldcup is just a couple of years away. We should take this time for preparing our strategies for winning this cup and to show that India is still good. A total changeover in the team is now inevitable: from individual player to action plans.
Till now, individuals are given more importance than the team's strategy. So, one player's failure means loss of team's morale. It is time that our game plan should be working instead of a single player. I think this is the way Aussies has comeup as world champions. Hope new coach would guide the team in this direction
Prem, I want to congratulate you on the wonderful commentary. It felt as we were watching the match live. I wonder how you do it? ;)
I have some questions. Whatdo you and others think?
Can Indian bowlers bowl a consistent off stump line?
Do we ahve only 4 top fast bowlers: Balai, Nehra, Pathan, Zaheer? I think Australia at any time has at least 10 in focus.
Can't our batsmen take Singles?
I think we should have singles competition, like they used pay money for sizes and fours. I was told Ravi Shastri went berserk in Benson and Hedges only because of the prize money. Well we know how Ravi would bat 3 years to make one run.
