Thanks for the good commentary.

Is India planned to lose this game?

The pitch was going low when the game started; I think Pakistan bowlers did a very good job. When India started bowling the ball was coming to bat, was it planned to blow like that or the pitch was behaving in that manner. I think our top order batsmen should be given rest and we need to try with new comers and see if India can change from there. I think the selectors should be very rude with the top order batsmen to take them out from the team and provide an opportunity to new comers and see what best we can do with them. First two games won with a great fashion and the next three games we gave up? Was it planned?

Every Indian is disappointed with the Indian players.

Hi,

dont u think that when Afridi was going rapidly, Dravid should have gone for Tendulkar's leg spin and that too round the wicket, who knows he would have missed one and.....

Need Ganguly as a Capton badly
by kumaran on Apr 15, 2005 05:06 PM

It was a clear view that the absence of Ganguly made better confident on Inzi to clear out indian team and taste the victory on 5th ODI. We neverforget once Stef.Fleming of NZ told on a TV without Ganguly as a Capton, it is easy for handling indian team because Ganguly never wants to loose the game at any score and he makes every match as a battle. His comments proved today at Kanpur and we saw india stuggling without the capton of the ship. So, let Ganguly, a winning capton needed for India atleast upto 2007 World cup.

Time to change
by ashish on Apr 15, 2005 04:53 PM

I think Indian team needs a lot of changes in terms of bowling and also they require some one to inspire them so that they could cultivate 'KILLING STINT' in them....to defend such a small score(250) you need a great effort which was almost NOT there at all... Afridi out plyaed and rest is story. whats wrong with these guys i cann't understand in each and every series you can pick one or two players which indians always find difficult to get out even on a track of their choice...whether it is Y. Khan in Test match or Shoaib Malik in ODIs. And they never try to learn from past .. in each and evry match repeatation of same errors can be seen. Three defeats in a row and no wonder one in pipeline...they never plan things..its a pity.. individually and on paper we have a great team...but team work is no where....neither they have any sense of responsibility.

5th ODI
by Arijit on Apr 15, 2005 03:29 PM

Amazing that people still think it's all going fair...check the ODI series results for the last 5 years involving India in the sub-continent...be it Australia, NZ, Pakistan or even Bangladesh, none of them have been decided before the last match. And this time it's even more planned to keep it level...it's all scripted way before the series started.

India has found a good replacement of ganguly
by Pranab on Apr 15, 2005 03:13 PM

Dinesh has already scored 33 ,he will also take 3-4 wickets so ganguly has no chance to come back to team whether india win or loose the series against pakistan

India should stick with dinesh mongia for atleast 2 years
