Well if you mean obstinate as "headstrong", I do agree. But if its something else then I need to say "You have become old and you should take rest". Till date I have not seen a player like Ganguly. He has proved himself a great player and also a great captain. I do agree the captain prior to him are jealous and can't see his success but truth is never hidden. Every player has a soft corner for some one and so do Ganguly has but don't forget this is the team which has given us immense success. Its the time which is not with them. As we know all great players have passed through this phase, I feel you too. So lets support them rather criticizing them
I think the criticism towards the players should be softer.It should in a way encourage them.Also Sehwag was fined for showing dissent against umpire.Even during the Amsterdam tri-series Ricky ponting after given out as LBW by the umpire off L.Balaji went straight to the umpire and told him it was high.No one seemed to care about it.I think LS was there commentating and he just said in a caring manner that "He's not happy with the decision".No one talked about that incident and it wasn't reported.It should be accepted that our ex-cricketers and commentators dig the grave yard for our own players.They should show a bit more maturity since they too are ex-players.The English commentators always support their players because the media will always be against the players.Since these ex-players suffered themselves,they always come out in support of the players.Its time now for our ex-cricketers to be a bit more mature.
Once again it is proved that the present Indian team can lose matches sometimes even if Sachin is with them, but can not win without him! His absence strengthens the opposition mentally. Every batsman in team india plays under the pressure of performance as if he is 'The' replacement for Sachin. In reality no one except Dravid has that capacity. And yes, as of now there is no one to lead India as ably as Ganguli.

India may not have done well in recent past after their innings in Pakistan, but ,they're indeed one of the best team and ganguly is one of teh best captain.
Polly Umrigar's comments are worth to remember by all the cricketeers of the present team,especially Ganguly,the Indian captain. Ganguly seems to be habituated to pass comments about his batsmans failure rather than admitting his own awful performance in recent matches. His obstinancy is causing very dear to indian cricket. I think the axe should fall on Ganguly himself and then the foreign coach who did nothing worthwhile so far. Umrigar,once the darling of the mumbai crowd is the right person to give tips to the captain in particular and the team members in general.Let us hope good counsels prevail, madhavarao
I think, Ganguly should give opportunit to new guys like Hemang Badani, Dinesh Mongia or Sudgoppan Ramesh. I think Ramesh is the good option for opening batsman. so pls send my advise to Saurav.
