India escape to victory
by T R Anand Rao on Nov 05, 2004 07:13 PM

An unbelievable but fantastic win. Congratulations to Rahul Dravide and his boys who have remained focussed thrpoughout the day. Great to see Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman deliver in the series so effectively and at a crucial time. Good that both the Karticks rose to the occasion not to forget the old war horse Kumble and the seasoned Harbhajan Singh. All in all a well foiught and well deserved victory. Earnestly believe this to the truning point in our recent cricket history.

Congratulations once again to Rahul Dravid. You have made us proud and the entire Nation salutes you. Keep it up.

what a game

Day 3 of the 4th test match between the indians and aussies was a test of nerves .On one hand while india's dreams of imposing a big lead was cut short by Clarke, the visitor's dream of an easy victory , a 3-0 win was not destined to come true. This was a spinners pitch which was rightly exploited by spinners
of both sides, all said and done the series is lost but the battle has been won and that matters a lot.

wonders! on the 3rd day
by Pradeep on Nov 05, 2004 06:54 PM

wow! it has been a good job by our team, which had comeback despite of losing the series.
No matter we lost the series, as it had been ill-fated for India in the 2nd test, but the boys had done a good job by not giving them the whole series.

Was it an Escape....

Our media is like that only. God knows why. They won't even praise this victory, they will be botherd to talk about Clark's 6 wickets and Hauritz's debut.

For our loss of series so many factors were responsible........Now looking back at it, we may feel definately that luck was definately not on our side.Otherwise how else one may explain

1. So many injuries to some of our most crucial players.Sachin,Bhajju,Pathan,Nehra,Ganguly....the list goes on

2. Loss of form to all the remaining middle order batsmen.None of them made a century in the whole series.

3. Spin of coin always went their way.

4. It rained when it was least expected in a city like Chennai.

Plus other factors which could have been controlled,

1. That Nagpur curator.........and the team management.............God knows what kind of planning was it.

2. The iterinery prepared by the board.........Why give them a First test at Bangalore.........It should have been Chennai, or at Kolkatta.Infact Bangalore
and Mohali should be taken out completly from future Aus. tours.(they favour more to visiting teams)

3. Selection which is based on Region and favouring some players of choice.

dramatic unbelievable victory
by shakti chadda on Nov 05, 2004 06:45 PM

Universal truth that nature and play both concealed their own quality of jobs.congrtulations to all cricketers fans for unbelievable , mischivious & unique victory in Bombay. It was hard luck in 2nd game where indian team was almost at strong doors of its victory..but desaster of nature ruined it up with rain.sooner or later ...no problem...this victory was equal of anything else.

Our cricketers are simply not worth their ratings nor their star status.
Let's all boycott their endorsements of all their sundry products so that they can concentrate on their game.
