It's really great to hear the hospitality of Pakistanis.
But, it will be appreciated more by the whole world if it's reflected not only during the cricket series but also in daily businesses with other countries.

eye-watering moments
by shama on Mar 16, 2004 02:21 PM

Dear readers,

Since 13th March, as an Indian cricket fan I watched all the tv coverage as well as read all the comments in the different (English as well as Marathi)news papers & after reading each article I am really inspired from Pakistanis.

Appreciating the other team after a close defeat of hometeam it is really admirable.

It's called a Real "SPORT SPIRIT".
From the bottom of my heart I feel that we Indian also should learn such things.i.e. to control our emotions (It recalls me our defeat in 1996 world cup aganist Sri-Lanka and "Eden Garden Public")

HATS OFF TO PAKISTANIS !!!

Jeet lo dil !
by Somil Swaroop on Mar 16, 2004 08:57 AM

Noor and her family came to India and was won over by the lov affection and hopitality of Indians. It is good to see the feedback from the Indians visiting Pakistan that they are getting equally bowled over by the hospitality and friendship shown by the Pakistanis. This series should open up more ties between the people of both countries. Pakistanis have already shown what that no one will leave a stone unturned in treating Indians well. Let us all join hands in applausing the Pakistanis and cheer for both teams and make this series a historical event in the ties for both the countries.

the above message eliminates the wrong notion that was existing within me due to the glimpse of political influence over cricket and its trustworthy to believe our own people to make the clouds clear

Very heartening
by kapil on Mar 15, 2004 10:29 PM

It was very heartening to read this article. It is high time the politicians of both nations and cricket fanatics of india woke up to reality. Enough has been said about the former but the latter need to take lessons from their couterparts across the border. Had india lost the match is a similar fashion out crowd would go crazy and we all know what we do when we are in that position. well i guess it is for each one of us to decide what we want to do about that.

Abour cricket building bridges, we need all the help we can get. It is clear that out progress can only go on hand in hand. No doubt india has progressed and is shining but it can never match the best leaving our neighbours behind. We have to get out neighbours to progress too and this is not just an emotional issues but also makes for some economic common sense
